GUNS N' ROSES Frontman AXL ROSE: 'I've Always Wanted To Play In India' - Dec. 1, 2012
GUNS N' ROSES' much-awaited multi-city concert tour in India this month will consist of three shows: in Bangalore on December 7, in Mumbai on December 9 and in Gurgaon on December 12.

Tickets for the event, promoted by MOOZ Entertainment, are available in three categories — Silver ( Rs. 1,500), Gold (Rs. 3,000) and Platinum Lounge (Rs.10,000).

"Tickets for GUNS N' ROSES concert are flying off the shelf. The demand is surging for all the three cities. We encourage fans not to miss out on this experience of a lifetime and get their tickets now," Karamjeet Singh, senior vice president, MOOZ Entertainment, said in a statement.

Speaking to The Times Of India, GUNS N' ROSES frontman Axl Rose stated about performing in India: "I've always wanted to play in India. We've tried to make that happen but for whatever reasons it just didn't work out. We're all looking forward to coming there and performing for everyone." When asked if he plans to travel to places apart from the cities he's performing in, he replied: "That would be great! I'm sure the rest of the guys and crew will visit some other places. If I'm lucky I'll be able to. Mostly I focus on the shows but if I have time I'm excited to explore India."

On Indian spirituality:

Axl: "I'm interested in having a personal, first-hand understanding of spirituality and religion as well as politics and government in India."

On whether he was keen to explore past life regression — which his Wikipedia states he has interest in — seeing as India is regarded as a spiritual haven by many:

Axl: "I'm not sure that what I personally believe or not is really out there publicly. Lots of people say and twist things and have done so over the years for their own purposes based on gossip, hearsay, unsubstantiated media nonsense and even outright lies, especially when money may be involved and/or if they're trying to make problems for others. I do like to explore and consider lots of different concepts, ideologies, belief systems, religions etc, and have an understanding of what others feel, think or believe, but in my opinion, ultimately what one 'believes' is their own business."

On India as a music destination:

Axl: "It does seem like bands or the touring/concert industry is really trying to make an effort to include India in their tours, more so now than in the past which I think is a good thing. With regard to collaborations with Indian artistes, I think there's always the possibility of collaborations anywhere with nearly anyone."

I do believe in past life regressions.

I sometimes dream that I was a basement dweller who trolls Metal forums but then I wake up and realize that it's only a nightmare.

Hmmm, ok. Put "musical" in front of "genius", and "current" in front of "G'n'R", and your post would sense.

Hes been on time for gigs for a year now. Still does 3 hour sets and hes been way cooler with interviews and whatnot. Seems like hes maturing n coming out of his shell a bit more. It must be hard when you dont play ball with the media and they twist everything you say. its about time to start cutting him some slack. People change. Id hate to be judged on who i was a year ago, let alone 20.

That's roughly $185 US for:

1) For an air conditioned lounge
2) Unlimited food and beverages (likely non-alcoholic)
3) VIP parking and entrance

That's a hell of a deal, considering tickets for their Vegas show were way more than that.

saw Korn in Bangalore a few months back. Bought the cheap ticket.
We were placed behind the sound tower. The second ticket price were placed in front of the sound tower closest to the stage.

Platinum were placed to the left of the stage.
The whole place could have fit like 5000 people. There were like 1500 in the silver area, 100 in the gold area and like 50 in the platinum area.
After the couple first songs people started to jump over the barricade to get to the front of the stage.
After that they got rid of the barricade between silver and gold.

The greatest frontman on earth will now take his band to India.
Indians should feel honored and lucky to receive him.
Good thing he got rid of all the lesser elements in GNR, especially that hack on guitar (you know the one with the stupid hat)!

So:
FUKK HAKK SLASH, MUFFMEISTER MCLOAD, JUNKIE ADLER & ASSKISSER RIOTACT.

AXL=GNR!!!
AXL=GOD!!!

Axl saying he's always wanted to play in India was like Mike Piazza saying he wanted to play for the Marlins.

Almost three years ago, I saw the new guns at the Tokyo Dome. It was the third or fourth show of the Chinese Democracy tour. Honestly, I did not know what to expect. Of all the hired guns, I appreciated Buckethead's work on Chinese Democracy. Taking decades to produce, you cannot overlook the fact that after all the personnel changes and guitarists involved, Axl kept Buckethead's solos on the albumn. I knew he was know longer with the band and knew Bumblefoot was in the lineup, and DJ Ashba was newly hired. I went to the show mentally prepared that this band was NOT GNR, but Axl Rose's band. With that attitude, I totally enjoyed the show. They played for about four hours and I think it is their longest show on record. (Correct me if I am wrong metal brethren.) It was a great show. It was very early in the show and Axl sounded very good. I was blown away by Bumblefoot as he is a genuine maestro, and he filled in for Buckethead flawlessly. Fortis was surprisingly talented. Stinson was excellent too. The biggest disappointment of the evening was Ashba. The hat, the image etc reeked of clone-ish imitation. I agree with wolfmanvsdracula that Axl is at least making an effort. Enjoy the music and leave the hate behind.

Riotact666 is in distress again. Has anyone contacted his next of kin to tell them that he has relapsed and his obsession is growing one explanation mark at a time.

after the money spent,the time it took and all the hype & the jobs lost...its safe to say Chinese Democracy was a f**kin disgrace...a tome of unlistenable bombastic bullshit...Between Kiss Motley Crue Slash and this mental case all youve got are cartoon characters drunk out of their minds on their own "awesomeness" and egos.....All those bands a f**kin joke....Good many years ago but are now just old men reliving past glories for the middle aged spread set!......sheesh & to think people defend them!
