The real Queensryche is headlining the same size venues they were previously, plus their usual festival slots. Promoters have made the same offers to the real band, while downgrading Geoff Taint to the lowest level, the "bar and grill".

I'm glad he remembered to pack the vest for this show. I love it when people make "washed up" comments. In order to be washed up you had to live and accomplish your dream in music. It's weird to me, watching those videos and him doing the g'pa monologue and stuff. He's got a really warm demeanour and his speaking voice is that of a calm and I guess, a content type of person.

But then he talks to the press and turns into a maniac who seems obsessed with fucking Rockenfield/Wilton/the other guys as hard as he can.

My sister and I were discussing this behaviour and she likened it to her ex-husband and the messiest divorce ever. Like Geoff, he seems to have gone batshit crazy too. He reached a tipping point somehow and has turned into a vile, slanderous, lying, money-hiding, asshole, but he's also a very high ranking doctor in a hospital and everyone thinks he's the dogs bollocks, so maybe these types of people can split themselves and be articulate and interesting performers or doctors and then slimy cunty wankers behind closed doors.

This is what happens when you have an entourage of people kissing your ass all day long. It is popularly known as Lead Singer Disease, but as you see doctors in hospitals can acquire the health care version of this.

Eventually all those people flattering you all day long begin to convince you that yes, you really are that great, and yes, everyone else on your team (bandmates, coworkers at the hospital) really is lazy and unproductive compared to you. All of your success is of course totally of your own making, none of those other people who worked with you every step of the way deserve any credit at all, according to the people whispering in your ear all day long.

So Geoff Taint sings in a suburban bar somewhere, a look of contentment on his face, because he is convinced that he is right and everyone else except for his family and entourage are wrong. We've had similar discussions about people like Ritchie Blackmore, former stars now completely walled off and removed from their previous careers by the people surrounding them. It's sad, really, how someone can allow this to happen to themselves.

So Taint has a backing band with 6 people? Once Taint gets his cut of the nightly dough and drinks (and cheese fries), it's gotta be literally pennies left for each of the band members.

He needs all of the band-members he can spare to intimidate the bar-owner to pay them at the end of the night. So when does the strip-club tour begin?

This is how the vast majority of Queensryche fans feel about the decline and fall of Geoff Taint. We hate what he has done to the band, but we don't hate him as a person. Unless, when he comes to our local bar and grill to perform, he spits on us when we ask for an autograph on the original Queensryche EP (I still got my vinyl copy). Then any of us would be inclined to develop a true hatred of him, I'm sure.

So I looked up this JCs Washington House Bar & Grill, having never heard of it despite being familiar with various Philadelphia concert venues. In fact it is way out of Philadelphia, in the northeastern suburbs out near the turnpike. Close to a big graveyard, appropriate for the end of Geoff Taint's musical career.

The map shows it at an intersection with a competitor, a "lounge and grill" instead of "bar and grill", guess Geoff Taint can play the lounge across the street next time. There are a couple pizza shops, a Chinese restaurant, and a Wawa all at the same intersection.

Remember when Geoff Taint was claiming that he was receiving the same guarantees from promoters as before, and the other guys were not? I don't see the real Queensryche booked in any bars out in the suburbs anywhere, all I see are actual concert venues on their itinerary.
