CANNIBAL CORPSE: 'Pit Of Zombies' Drum-Cam Footage From Bloomington - Nov. 21, 2012
Drum-cam footage of Paul Mazurkiewicz of Florida death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE performing the song "Pit Of Zombies" on November 19 at Castle Theater in Bloomington, Illinois can be seen below.

CANNIBAL CORPSE will embark on a U.S. headlining tour in November. Support on the trek will come from MISERY INDEX and HOUR OF PENANCE.

CANNIBAL CORPSE's twelfth studio album, "Torture", sold 9,600 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 38 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous CD, "Evisceration Plague", also opened with 9,600 units to land at No. 66. That was more than 50 percent higher than the opening tally of CANNIBAL CORPSE's 2006 CD, "Kill", which entered the chart at No. 170 after shifting more than 6,000 copies.

"Torture" was again produced by HATE ETERNAL's Erik Rutan at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch in Tornillo, Texas, and features the maniacal cover art by longtime CANNIBAL CORPSE artist Vincent Locke.

While "Torture" marks the latest progression in the band's sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms "the frenzied attack of 'Butchered At Birth' (1991) or 'Tomb Of The Mutilated' (1992)," infusing the band's advanced musicianship with the raw savagery that haunted their earlier releases, and in the process conceiving the definitive CANNIBAL CORPSE record.

The slowest blast beat with zero balls. Yet Cannibal Corpse still manages to kick fucking ass.

Almost sounds like he is off in his timing a few times. Not the best drummer in the world but gets the job done. At least he isn't one of those finesse pussy new school drummers who trigger everything and play like girls.

I really don't care for Cannibal Corpse post The Bleeding. I didn't mind the Wretched Spawn but most of the others I am not huge on. They are not BAD but can't touch a candle to the earlier material

I really don't know how George Fisher doesn't bug more people. His live vocals are horrible. Doesn't pronounce any of the words and does the same scream.. not to mention the ridiculous windmills

And for the love of god I wish blabbermouth would quite using the quote below. The new record has almost ZERO similarities to the albums they reference. Butchered at Birth and Tomb of the Mutilated are both light years better than Torture:

"While "Torture" marks the latest progression in the band's sound, it also witnesses a return to what drummer Paul Mazurkiewicz accurately terms "the frenzied attack of 'Butchered At Birth' (1991) or 'Tomb Of The Mutilated' (1992),"

George Fisher's vocal style was much better suited for Monstrosity.

Those blast beats, I wouldnt even call them blastbeats cause the snare is not dense enough. He's sloppy when double bass kicks in. Nothing really technical about his playing yet he messes it up. Pretty shitty if you ask me, I mean he is in a major band you know.

i don't give a shit for small fuck-ups: he's got his own style.
Most of the drummers in super-technical, oh-so-brooootal, superSHITTY bands all play the same, triggered-double bass, gravity-blast, ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-ta-casual roll tasteless, pointless BULLSHIT.
Cannibal Corpse are INNOVATORS and INIMITABLE.
Barnes or Fisher it makes no difference, CC=KILLER.

the evisceration plague had the worst drum sound of any album it sounded like a drum machine or a click-track. When you compare the drum sound on the last 2 or 3 albums to the drum sound on TOTM or the bleeding theres no comparison. CC are very over produced now and although the music is highly technical the natural vibe feeling is missing

He has a style; not the most technical or accurate but you know it,s him playing. I hate those drummers who only speak of drums, only rehearse and feel the need to show their skills all the time. I like a drummer who knows when to open it up and when to keep it simple. Paul is as close as 'playing for the song' can be in the genre. They could have replaced him if they wanted a performing drummer to impress the crowd... he's still there, for a reason!
