Legendary rockers
JOURNEY have released the following statement:
"
JOURNEY's lead singer
Arnel Pineda has been given the all-clear from his doctors after receiving medical treatment for a severe laryngeal and esophageal inflammation, which forced the band to postpone several shows earlier this month.
"As hoped, the tour resumes tonight, Friday, November 16 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Bradley Center, as originally scheduled."
Arnel, who hails from Quezon City in the Philippines, joined
JOURNEY in December 2007. He replaced for
Jeff Scott Soto, who parted ways with the band earlier that year after stepping in for
Steve Augeri, who had to leave the band in 2006 for medical reasons.
JOURNEY's latest studio album,
"Eclipse", featuring
Arnel Pineda, was released in May 2011. The
Walmart exclusive debuted on The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 13.
Recently released is
JOURNEY's latest compilation,
"Greatest Hits - Volume 2", which was compiled by the band's former singer,
Steve Perry.
