PAUL DI'ANNO: Footage Of Entire Ukraine Concert Posted Online - Nov. 13, 2012
Fan-filmed video footage of former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di'Anno's entire November 3 performance at Liverpool in Donetsk, Ukraine can be seen in three parts below.

Due to a number of health issues, including a knee problem which will require surgery soon, Di'Anno announced in July that he will stop touring next year.

In a message posted on his Facebook page, Paul stated about his impending retirement from performing, "To all of you who have been with me from the start, and many new friends who have given me the privilege of being able to play and meet so many of you through the years, I can't find the right words to tell you all how much I'll miss you. All of you have my love and respect forever, and anyone who knows me knows that ain't a load of bollocks you have kept me going through difficult times, happy times and a lot of heartbreak. I thank you all with all my heart and I'm glad you're not here right now watching me write this crying like a big Jessie (for you, mates, it means a wuss!). Thank you all again, I love you all and wish you all health, good fortune, and most of all, love and happiness. You will be with me always. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Timao Corinthians n again te amo simper. Love, Paul."

Michael Salenius, Di'Anno's Swedish booking manager and tour manager, told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that next year will be "a big, fantastic" last touring year for Paul, with a lot of solo shows, festival appearances and Di'Anno vs. Blaze Bayley concerts. You will also see various guest musicians joining Paul on stage.

Di'Anno recorded two classic albums with IRON MAIDEN before being fired and replaced by Bruce Dickinson. He went on to front a number of other bands, including KILLERS and BATTLEZONE, and released several solo records.

On August 27, 2011, Di'Anno played his first show since serving time in a U.K. prison after he falsely collected U.K. government benefits by claiming he suffered nerve damage to his back that prevented him from working.

After serving his jail term in early 2011, Di'Anno issued a short statement in which he thanked his fans for their support and claimed that he "managed not to drop the soap" during his stint behind bars.

Di'Anno will embark on a U.S. tour in late December.

The singer completed his first North American tour in early 2010, 17 years after he was deported following a prison term for guns and drug offenses.

Di'Anno rules.
Before all the bullshit comes in let me just say, the man has been to hell and back. He's earned respect.

A legend!

I hope his US tour goes thru because he was incredible live a few years ago.

E~

I like how they play everything twice as fast live... the way Maiden USED to do.
Listen to Running Free off of Maiden Japan... it's insanely fast compared to the studio and they keep it together quite well. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't but anything off those first 2 records translates so well live.
All the best, Paul... sad to see you hang it up but it's understood.
Up the Di'anno!

Paul is an adult....he made his choices.....he's done some fucking bad things on a social level and he doesnt deserve to be glorified !.......one thing is certain he did sing on the AWESOME ALBUMS and deserves the credit for it.....he sang absolutly great on both these releases and I do enjoy his voice a whole lot.

Living Dead / Nomad was a great solo release, but Paul is talking about new songs he has written for years. That was before he rocked the jailhouse. He even had some demos online for a while last year. Just release some new tracks man!

Love the first two Iron Maiden album, the guy is still a c*nt for claiming benefits in the UK while he was still performing live though.

I can't see the videos at work. Can someone tell me, does he play anything from the first 2 Maiden albums? That would be cool, if he did!

Why does the poster for Blaze and Di'Anno show pictures of them when they were way younger? They don't look anything close to that now. No need to live in the past, they can still do the classic Maiden on stage now.

I had always thought Maiden would bring him back on one of their tours to share the stage with Bruce and sing the songs from the 1st 2 records. That would be monumental but I guess they still don't like each other after all these years......

Maiden has nothing to gain bringing on stage Uncle Fester to sing a song or two. What does Steve and the rest of the band have to gain from it? You think Uncle Fester would want to share the same stage with Bruce? The man who made Maiden 1,000% bigger and better than Uncle Fester ever did? With the exception of the hardcore fans who were with Maiden from the beginning (which is now a minority), most of Maiden's fans today don't even know Uncle Fester was the singer on the first two albums, and for that matter, his twin brother from The X Factor and Virtual XI.

Anyone seeing this poster and then seeing Paul would feel ripped-off. This is more than living off past glories, it's rehashing the past beyond acceptance. He lost his voice, lost his look, lost the audience and plays shitholes around the world, trying to cash-in on what's left of his credibility as the original Maiden singer...

As much as the first two Maiden albums helped define a genre, he's sadly lights years away from the guy he was back then. How the mighty always fall is saddening.

He doesn't still look like that. Man that's disappointing. Paul Di'Anno is a metal god. THose first 2 albums are Killers.
