MOURNING CARESS Parts Ways With Singer - Nov. 12, 2012
Vocalist Gerrit Mohr has left Münster, Germany-based melodic death/thrash metallers MOURNING CARESS for "private reasons."

Commented Gerrit: "This is it. I am out. It's such a strange feeling, but it's a well-considered decision. I still love the band, the music and the insane boys — that's for sure — but sometimes it's necessary to draw the line. 15 years of friendship, joy, M.E.T.A.L., tragedy, madness, sadness and really bad jokes will forever be carved in my mind. Thank you for this. One last time, from the bottom of my heart I scream: Up The Caress!!! Over and out."

MOURNING CARESS' third album, "Deep Wounds, Bright Scars", was released in November 2011 via the German label MDD Records. The CD was recorded and mixed at DocMaKlang studios in Osnabrück, Germany with producer Matthias Lohmöller and was mastered by Ulf Horbelt at DMS in Marl, Germany. The cover art was created by Björn Goosses of Killustrations.
