MOTÖRHEAD: Video Footage Of Official Headphone/Earphone Launch - Nov. 8, 2012
MOTÖRHEAD has launched a complete assortment of headphones and earphones. The first generation's assortment will consist of nine products in total, three headphones, and six in-ear models. All are being sold under their new brand name Motörheadphönes.

Motörheadphönes is the first brand name in the headphone segment that globally focuses on the rock/pop audience, a target group who are critical listeners and goes with the attitude that rock stands for. The rock audience is by far the largest group of music listeners, according to surveys on what music the consumers are streaming.

Price range is between €39.99 and €49.99 for the earphones and between €69.99 and €129.99 for the headphones. Most models are smartphone-ready, two of the headphones are equipped with the new developed microphone "Controlizer," which is one of the most advanced remote controls on the market.

Commented the band: "No weak-kneed, lily-livered, tin-pot and skinny sounding little pieces of garbage, no, that ain't MOTÖRHEAD's style. These are headphönes designed to deliver everything louder than everything else BUT with the sort of range, clarity and TRUE rock reproduction you'd expect from a band of road warriors who have been at the top of the tree year after year. Because, like üs, these don't fuck around... remember, if it's too loud, you're too old."

The products are developed audio- and design-wise together with MOTÖRHEAD and a longtime experienced sound expertise from the hometown of harder rock in Gothenburg, Sweden, led by Anders Nicklasson with 30 years' experience from Audio development. Distribution and marketing is handled worldwide by Krusell International AB.

Motörheadphönes were officially launched at a press conference on August 31 at Motörheadphönes booth at IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung) hall 9 booth 313 in Berlin, Germany. Attending the event were Mikkey Dee (MOTÖRHEAD), Ulf Sandberg (Krusell) and Anders Nicklasson (Krusell).

Video footage of the Motörheadphönes launch can be seen below.

next up, a whole line of Motorhead kitchen gadgets. Get a 'Blend me Like a Reptile' blender, a 'I Got Mine' vegtable peeler or an 'Orgasmatron' turkey baster.

Nothing wrong with getting paid. This is just bands adapting to changes in the business environment - people don't buy music anymore so they are adapting and finding other ways to earn a living. Nothing wrong with it.

If this was Megadeth, KISS, or any other band (besides Slayer, Maiden, and a couple other sacred cows), you fools would be howling like smoldering chimps at the idea.

Not this time though, right?

It just shows they have good management that makes tcash for them. Metallica may sell out stadiums, but Motorhead's asset is that it's "cool" to show you're into them when you're a metalhead, so these people do their job properly. Don't like it, don't need it, can't afford it - don't buy and shut your mouth, nobody's forcing you. Especially that if Motorhead-branded crap wouldn't sell, they'd stop doing so much new stuff.

That picture isn't true at all. It,s a bad collage. Look at the light on each musician,s faces to begin with! Mikkey was there and the two other got pasted over the original picture.

Says a lot about how they care for the release of those headphones...

Motorhead music should not be listened to with headphones.

...Lemmy looks thrilled.

What do these things go for? Hopefully less than Dre's overprices Beats.

Anyone use them yet? Any good?
