AT THE GATES Joined By CONTRIVE's PAUL HAUG At Melbourne Show (Video) - Nov. 5, 2012
Paul Haug of Australian metallers CONTRIVE joined longtime friends AT THE GATES on stage on Friday, November 2 to perform the track "Blinded By Fear" from AT THE GATES' classic album "Slaughter Of The Soul". Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

AT THE GATES released its definitive album, "Slaughter Of The Soul" — often regarded as one of the all-time greatest metal albums — on Earache in 1995, before touring the world and abruptly disbanding. Members of the band went on to play major roles in other notorious metal acts such as THE HAUNTED and CRADLE OF FILTH, before reforming for a tour in 2008 to rapturous response. The band has played sporadic live shows ever since.

AT THE GATES' "The Flames Of The End" DVD was released in April 2010 in the U.S. through Earache.

CONTRIVE has begin writing material for its third album for a tentative 2013 release.

The band's second CD, "The Internal Dialogue", was mixed by Canadian musician/producer Devin Townsend (STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, STEVE VAI, LAMB OF GOD, DARKEST HOUR, GWAR), with drummer Andrew Haug sitting in on the process at Studio D in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Glad these guys are still friends.

Still I'm against making a new album. Wouldn't want to see them tarnish their legacy.

However, now that Anders is not with The Haunted anymore, should At The Gates be a main focus again ?
