WOLFGANG VAN HALEN: New Audio Interview Posted Online - Nov. 4, 2012
Mick Burgess of Metal Express Radio conducted an interview with VAN HALEN and TREMONTI bassist Wolfgang Van Halen on October 15 at O2 Academy in Newcastle, England. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

Interview (audio):

Wolfgang Van Halen made his first appearance as part of CREED and ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti's solo band in September at a show in Rhode Island. This marks the first time Wolfgang has played with anyone outside of his father Eddie, his uncle Alex and singer David Lee Roth.

Asked if he is going to be involved with future TREMONTI tours and recording sessions, Wolfgang told "Robb's MetalWorks", "Yeah, every chance that I have. I'd love to be a part of this. If they'll let me, I guess," he joked.

Wolfgang Van Halen is replacing Tremonti's bandmate from CREED and ALTER BRIDGE, Brian Marshall, who is sitting out the Tremonti trek for undisclosed personal reasons. The other members of Tremonti's touring band include Eric Friedman on guitar and Garrett Whitlock on drums.

Tremonti is on the road behind his debut solo album, "All I Was", which came out this past July.

Mike will always be part of the classic lineup. Tell your dad and uncle they not only fucked up a legacy but broke Mike's wonderful heart which pissed off a lot people cause of this. it was just dead wrong what they did to Mike. Ed and Alex karma is going to bite you in ass. Just wait and see. Unless ya redeem yourself and bring back Mike!

Did you sit and cry during the fifteen minutes between these two posts?

"Just a hopeless thought"

And kind of inmature too.

"but broke Mike's wonderful heart..."

This reminds me that scene in Reservoir Dogs when Steve Buscemi says: "Do you hear that? That is the smallest violin in the world". I think he got over it, you know? He's a big boy after all, I'm sure a night at Cabo Wabo's and the big fat check he got from the VH brothers to give up his rights may have helped a little.

"Ed and Alex karma is going to bite you in ass".

You probably watched way too much "My name is Earl"; great show BTW.

He was great with VH, but it's time to accept that he's in Chickenfoot now. Wolfie is doing his part and doing fine at it.
