MÖTLEY CRÜE Bassist Reveals Grandfather's Cancer Battle - Nov. 2, 2012
MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following message on his Facebook page:

"I've been sharing my insides with you for so long, I guess there is no reason to stop now. On some level, this is how I connect and hopefully relate some event, place or time to each other's lives. I agree it's odd to do it on Facebook or Twitter (or any other social media portal), but I guess, like you, I am trying to work out the wrinkles, iron out the kinks and maybe feel some relief from the pain that comes with life sometimes.

"It's been really hard holding it together the last few months with my grandfather Tom being so sick. Watching him change daily breaks my heart as he is slowly breaking down. The doctors gave him 3 to 6 months to live 4 months ago. This prostate cancer is a ticking time bomb and our hearts are breaking in slow motion. The reality of it all is kicking in for my whole family.

"Why do I tell you this? 'Cause maybe I am not the only one in pain. We all deal with it in different ways. I can't run to a bottle or a bindle of powder, so I talk about it and as it happens, usually write music about it.

"This man was there for me like a father. He never let me down. He was a role model and my biggest fan. The water runs deep between us so the blade of the knife also hits the bone.

"Love is a two-edged swords... So we learn with death at our footsteps...

"Thank you for listening... I actually would love to hear your story too..."

My thoughts exactly! Nikki is what....55? Amazing this story doesn't reveal the grandfather's age?? He would have to be 95???

If an 18 yr old has a child who also has a child at 18, then he could be a 91 yr old grandfather of a 55 yr old man. I'm 37 and my grandmother is 85 and she's in great health. Not that big of a deal.

I don't care. Nikki can say what he likes on his personal profiles, it's him writing how he feels, I respect that. What I don't respect is Blabbermouth telling us some guy's relative is sick in a news article. It's not news that affects us. What next, Sharon Osbourne's vet has AIDS?

Is this fucking news? If every time someone in a rock or metal band's grandpa was ill Blabbermouth did a story on it, there wouldn't be any room for all the pointless Slipknot/Corey Taylor interviews, or any of the other vast array of pointless crap on this page. Sorry to hear about Grandpa Sixx, but this isn't news!

I think Blabbermouth should should start allowing people to rate posts so they can tell which content people actually are interested in reading, and which posts are total shite. Then maybe they won't constantly post all the pointless filler on here that real music fans have to sift through to get to the good stuff.

And yet, here you are.

There's an easier way to do it - just don't click on the post your not interested in.

It's not just a matter of not being interested in it, it's a matter of it not being news that's worthy of being posted on a hard rock/metal new site.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the inside of his colon.
