SUICIDE SILENCE Singer Killed In Motorcycle Crash - Nov. 1, 2012

According to The Press-Enterprise, SUICIDE SILENCE frontman Mitch Lucker died this morning (Thursday, November 1) after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash Wednesday night.

The Orange County coroner's office said Lucker was pronounced dead at 6:17 a.m. Thursday at UCI Medical Center in Orange County.

Lucker was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The 28-year-old singer lived in Huntington Beach but grew up in Riverside, California.

At approximately 7:00 p.m. West Coast time Wednesday night, Lucker tweeted a photo of himself presumably dressed up for Halloween festivities (see below) with the caption, "The dead are living..."

Lucker broke his elbow in late August and subsequently developed an infection related to the injury.

SUICIDE SILENCE recently inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Entertainment, the new division of Nuclear Blast formed by Nuclear Blast owner Markus Staiger and former Roadrunner A&R chief Monte Conner.

I don't wanna see anything about how he deserved to die. You may not have liked his music but this is another human being, and had a family and a young daughter. I wish them nothing but the best in this unfortunate situation

This is horrible and tragic news I lost a dear friend of mine in similar fashion last year so I can relate to what Mitch's family and friends are going through right now thoughts and prayers to everyone involved.

I just found out this happened just now just this very second very shocking now I never like Suicide Silence in fact they were on of those bands that I ridiculed ever since I heard them but that's not the point I'm trying to make it's very sad to learn he has died and all his fans will miss him cause Suicide Silence had a major following. This is very sad news.

Everyone was crazy on the street. Failing to stop and almost hitting me three times. People are going fast and irresponsible when drinking or getting high. I have no idea what happened to this poor guy, but I'm upset since I saw him trending on Twitter. Pictures with his little girl were posted and it killed me.

I got to see suicide silence open for Machine Head in toronto last winter and i hadnt really heard much of them!

I thought they where very kickass live, and have since then dug into their back catalog of music!

Mitch had great stage presence and was truly entertaining to watch!

To his friends and family i send my condolences!

like many others I dont care about the band or the individual with all his extremely rediculous tattoos and the lifestyle ....something was definitely not totally fit with him but i dont enjoy the death of someone mainly because there are people suffering around him and they feel like dying too right now !!.....that's the REAL sad part !.......condoleances to his family !

its a shame that he didn't think enough his child to learn responsibilty. Riding 95? really thats being an adult. I hope his child has someone to take care of them because dad was an irresponsible adult. Sad to see anyone die especially when it could and should have been prevented.

Always hated this band's music, and didn't enjoy their performances the times they were on bills with other artists; but some of the comments are just really fucking ignorant. This isn't about his music, it's about his life and untimely death. At the age of 28, life is just starting...he had a daughter who now lost her father. His wife lost a husband. His mother lost a son. Even though the most of true metal-lovers despised their music, the band has a decent fanbase and they're undoubtedly upset by this...if you can actually hold hate to a person because you don't relate to their music, then your ignorant opinions aren't needed. Thoughts are with his family in this rough time.
