Original SLIPKNOT Singer Guests On GREEN DEATH EP - Oct. 26, 2012
Original SLIPKNOT and current PAINFACE vocalist Anders Colsefni makes a guest appearance on the new three-song EP from the Des Moines, Iowa-based band GREEN DEATH. Entitled "Dawn Of The Death", the effort will be made available on October 30 via CDBaby, Amazon and iTunes as a digital-only release.

"Dawn Of The Death" was recorded with engineer Griffin Landa (formerly of the band TOO PURE TO DIE) at his studio The Establishment Recording Studio in Des Moines.

In related news, PAINFACE will open for STONE SOUR, the band fronted by current SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor, on Monday, October 29 at Wooly's in Des Moines.

Colsefni, one of the founding members of SLIPKNOT alongside percussionist Shawn "The Clown" Crahan, contributed lead vocals to the band's 1997's independently released effort "Mate Feed Kill Repeat". A short time after leaving the band in 1997, Anders went on to form PAINFACE, which later evolved into ON A PALE HORSE.

Recorded with Slipknot on their only good album. A great album if you're looking for some jazzy nu-metal

I vaguely recalled they had a singer before Corey. Never heard of Painface or Green Death, probably shit anyway. What are the odds that the Green Death release will be all 'FEATURING THE ORIGINAL SLIPKNOT VOCALIST!!!!!!'?

His version of Gently and Slipknot (Sic) were better imo, the original IOWA (Killers Are Quiet) was equally as good, but lyrically, I prefer IOWA...
Anyway, looking forward to the new Painface, I hope they're re-releasing the debut...

MFKR was garbage. Their first album is their only good release. The intensity and the insane asylum atmosphere on the album was genuine.
