STONE SOUR: Entire New Album Available For Streaming - Oct. 22, 2012
STONE SOUR's new album, "House Of Gold & Bones", is available for streaming in its entirety at AOL Music. The CD will made available as a double album and a four-issue comic book.

Like the story, the "House Of Gold & Bones" album package comes in two parts. When the two pieces meet, they combine to create the "House Of Gold & Bones". Part one is available October 22 and part two is due in 2013.

The first look at the "House Of Gold & Bones" album package is available in the YouTube clip below.

"House of Gold & Bones - Part 1" track listing:

01. Gone Sovereign
02. Absolute Zero
03. A Rumor Of Skin
04. The Travellers Part 1
05. Tired
06. RU486
07. My Name Is Allen
08. Taciturn
09. Influence Of A Drowsy God
10. The Travellers Part 2
11. Last Of The Real

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor recently told Artisan News that he would like to see the band's new conceptual record be adapted as a movie as well. He said, "Once we've toured and we've got the music out to everyone, the thing I really wanna do is have two movies — Part 1 and Part 2. With the comic and the story and the music, I think we'll be able to do it. I already know who I wanna talk to about doing it, so we'll see what happens."

Taylor did not say who he would like to direct the movie, or if it would be produced through Living, Breathing Films, the production company he and SLIPKNOT percussionist Clown launched earlier this year.

He told The Pulse Of Radio at the time why he and Clown decided to get into the movie business. "It's something that we're very passionate about, you know," he said. "We have the same passion for film as we do for music and it's really just our way of kind of, you know, learning the business and once we learn a little more, you know, we get a few projects under our belt and we're gonna start accepting scripts and developing our own scripts, and I think it's gonna be something that's really cool."

The comic book version of "House Of Gold & Bones" will debut on April 17, 2013. The four-issue series will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will visualize the sci-fi short story that forms the basis of the albums.

Will it suck or will it be awesome. Or just subpar like their other albums.

I was never a Slipknot fan much less a Stone Sour fan but there seems to be many good thrashy metal songs in this album. Not much filler or gimmicks either. Some good lead guitar work too. I think I'm becoming a fan of Jim Root.

I'm not a huge fan on SS or Taylor but I found this release to be very palatable. Much better than a lot of what is passed of as American rock/metal these days

the debut was pretty good. This album is sounding better than all of them. I know a lot of people hate them because of the Slipknot connection but I think SS is a much better band than Slipknot. Good for the commercial side of metal/hard rock. I listen to it all...

Not bad at all. One listen through most of it and I'll say I like it better then the last album. Pretty solid overall.

The cd music will be great, but the packaging that comes in two parts and assembles to make a house is useless to me.

Holy fuck. Don't remember the last time I was this excited for an album to come out. This is actually an album. Not a couple of ok songs, and a bunch of filler.

People need to shut the fuck up. Drink a few beer (maybe 12), smoke a joint, and listen to this album from start to finish. Then you can have an opinion. Till then gtfo.

this is actually really good stuff. coreys screams sound weak though, which is sad considering he use to have one of the best natural screams. after iowa, his voice got shot

leave the concept albums to the professionals like pink floyd, rush, and queensryche ( yea, even a shitty band can make a gem sometimes.)

Bought this today along with The Sword. Really good offering, way better than Audio Secrecy. Still they can't top their debut.

And hell no, SS can never beat Slipknot.

I ve always considered Stone Sour a weak band that just puts out b-side quality songs for the most part but after listening to some of the songs off this album, i ll admit that these guys have drastically improved and the music comes off really well. Its good and aggressive metal, with some really melodic songs as well, just like how a good metal album should be. Fortunately for me, Im not one of those elitist douches who are more considered with image than quality and wont give the album a try and just dismiss it completly since it has the stonesour label on it. Personally, i would even give nickelback a try IF they actually progress and make good music in the future cuz this is music after all, if an artist makes good music, i ll become a fan.

Oh and one more thing, i never expected these guys to write a solo like the one in Gone Sovereign. That clearly shows how much they have progressed.
