BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION Guitarist JOE BONAMASSA To Make Recording History - Oct. 22, 2012
Acclaimed guitarist Joe Bonamassa (BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) will perform four exclusive London concerts during March 2013. Each show will be specially filmed for DVD and will feature never-before performed live tracks. The four London concerts will chronicle Joe's atmospheric rise from the intimate club atmosphere of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. The live in-concert DVDs will be released during fall 2013.

Hailed as the guitar event of the year, Bonamassa will pay homage to the historic London venues he's played by going back to his ten studio albums to perform songs for the very first time. The four London 2013 concerts will individually showcase a unique band configuration that will highlight diverse elements of Joe's style. Each performance will be distinctive with different set lists. Collectively, there will be upwards of eighty new and old songs performed over the four nights that even the most die-hard Bonamassa fan will experience for the first time.

The London run will start at the intimate 200-capacity London Borderline on Tuesday, March 26. Bonamassa will then play the 02 Shepherds Bush Empire and HMV Hammersmith Apollo on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28, respectively, before finishing the week at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday, March 30.

The Royal Albert Hall and Shepherds Bush concerts are currently sold out. Tickets are still available for the Hammersmith Apollo, as well as VIP tickets for the exclusive Borderline concert that also includes the best seats in the house for the remaining three concerts, including the Royal Albert Hall, Shepherds Bush and the Hammersmith Apollo.

"London is like my second home," says Bonamassa. "I want to give the fans attending the London concerts a real treat — a thank you for their unwavering support. Over the years I've received requests for tracks we've never performed live. Now, it feels right that we delve into the back catalogue and dedicate London fans with unique versions of tracks they've never experienced live."

I'm a big fan of Joe, he is an amazing player - and his solo stuff is what got me into him. BCC is seriously one of the best rock bands to come out in the past 10 years and I don't know one person (rock and hard rock friends) who doesn't want these guys to tour. I'd be frustrated as hell if I was Glen and Jason. I mean Joe has played in my city (top 5 US market) 2 times since BCC started and has another show already scheduled (which I'm going to). Maybe what they should do is an an evening with Joe Bonamassa and Black Country Communion - charge a little more for the tickets, do a full set of BCC, do an intermission and then do a full set of Joe's solo stuff with his solo band. I'd pay $20 more a ticket for that!

although you don't know me I am 1 fan who does not care if they tour or not. in fact I like it that they do not. think about it for a min. we get a new record every year when Joe's schedule allows them time together and to me that is the important thing! if they tour behind it then that means years between recording while they tour as a group then Joe does his thing and the rest of them do whatever it is they do away from BCC. I will take new music over that any day!

its very simple, BCC needs joe but joe doesn't need BCC. Glenn hughes couldn't pull half as many people people as joe can solo and thats why they are bitching. I think joe is right to do his own thing. I see on twitter that joe and derek sherinian are still cool. Derek is the only member not to bitch about him in the press, good for him.

Let Bonamassa do his thing, and just get another guitarist. How about Jake E. Lee? Just a thought. Or even Sykes too!

I don't understand why Glenn is so mad at Joe. Joe is working on his SOLO stuff. What about when Glenn went to Amsterdam to "get lost" and wasn't heard from for a long time ?!?!! I'm sure he let down some musicians a time or two.

I'm sure too much time with one Glenn Hughes could make someone like Joe see the light of a SOLO career moreso than the BCC direction - which Gleen is trying to control WAY TOO MUCH.

Glenn Hughes gets doped up for years upon years and now he has no paitence with Joe's working schedule ? Looks like the fork is about to be put into BCC.

Oh well - 2 good albums and another on the way....was a pretty good run.

Bonamassa is amazing. He's done like 14 albums since 2000. Most of them great. Glenn needs to cool it, all he's doing is making it worse.
