STONE SOUR: First Look At Special 'House Of Gold & Bones' Packaging (Video) - Oct. 19, 2012
STONE SOUR's new album, "House Of Gold & Bones", is coming out as a double album and a four-issue comic book.

Like the story, the "House Of Gold & Bones" album package comes in two parts. When the two pieces meet, they combine to create the "House Of Gold & Bones". Part one is available October 22 and part two is due in 2013.

The first look at the "House Of Gold & Bones" album package is available in the YouTube clip below.

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor recently told Artisan News that he would like to see the band's new conceptual record be adapted as a movie as well. He said, "Once we've toured and we've got the music out to everyone, the thing I really wanna do is have two movies — Part 1 and Part 2. With the comic and the story and the music, I think we'll be able to do it. I already know who I wanna talk to about doing it, so we'll see what happens."

Taylor did not say who he would like to direct the movie, or if it would be produced through Living, Breathing Films, the production company he and SLIPKNOT percussionist Clown launched earlier this year.

He told The Pulse Of Radio at the time why he and Clown decided to get into the movie business. "It's something that we're very passionate about, you know," he said. "We have the same passion for film as we do for music and it's really just our way of kind of, you know, learning the business and once we learn a little more, you know, we get a few projects under our belt and we're gonna start accepting scripts and developing our own scripts, and I think it's gonna be something that's really cool."

The comic book version of "House Of Gold & Bones" will debut on April 17, 2013. The four-issue series will be published by Dark Horse Comics and will visualize the sci-fi short story that forms the basis of the albums.

This is escalating into a delusional fiasco quickly. The idea is that the album is so big and awesome, it has be split into two parts with a movie, comic book(s) and everything else they can think of. This is insanity and is getting ridiculous. Unless this fucking thing is the nexst Back In Black it can't possibly live up to the damn hype and bullshit.

you're absolutely right. I can't remember an album being as hyped as this. and the funny thing is, they never talk about the music. only the 300 projects involving this crap.

It's better than their last album, but that's not saying much...

very impressed by this album. If they keep it up and don't revert back to the last few albums I might become an avid fan

First, I consider myself a fan of this band, but all this Hype is a bit disconcerting. I just hope it rocks more than 'Audio Secrecy'.
I LOVED 'Come Whatever May'. I just want Music! no CD package that folds into a house, no movie, no comic book....
