AEROSMITH: 'What Could Have Been Love' Video Released - Oct. 19, 2012
"What Could Have Been Love", the new video from AEROSMITH, can be seen below. The song comes off the band's 15th studio album and their first studio collection of all-new material in 11 years, "Music From Another Dimension", which will be released on November 6 via Columbia Records. The CD was recorded in Los Angeles and at the band's studio in Massachusetts; it was produced by Jack Douglas, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry, with the exception of three tracks produced by Tyler and Marti Frederiksen.

"Music From Another Dimension" features 15 new tracks, including two songs that audiences in North America were treated to on the first leg of the band's triumphant, sold-out "Global Warming Tour". The CD presents AEROSMITH in ferociously fine form and at the peak of their powers. They're the only band of their stature with all-original members and who are playing better than ever have before. The album abounds with one highlight after another, including "Out Go The Lights", "Oh Yeah", "Luv XXX", "We All Fall Down", "Street Jesus" and "Can't Stop Loving You", on which Tyler duets with Carrie Underwood. The album also includes "Freedom Fighter", which features Johnny Depp on backing vocals.

A deluxe version of "Music From Another Dimension" will include:

* Four live performance videos: "Rats In The Cellar", "Train Kept A Rollin'", "Oh Yeah" and "Same Old Song and Dance"

* Exclusive interviews with the members of AEROSMITH bandmembers

* Three exclusive new bonus tracks: "Up On A Mountain", "Oasis" and "Sunny Side of Love"

The "Music From Another Dimension" track listing is as follows:

01. Luv XXX
02. Oh Yeah
03. Beautiful
04. Tell Me
05. Out Go The Lights
06. Legendary Child
07. What Could Have Been Love
08. Street Jesus
09. Can't Stop Loving You
10. Lover A Lot
11. We All Fall Down
12. Freedom Fighter
13. Closer
14. Something
15. Another Last Goodbye

Man, I love 70's & 80's Aerosmith, but seriously, what the fuck is this shit?

Based on the evidence of the two videos released from this album so far, was there ANY point in getting Jack Douglas back to produce?

This sounds like the same old over-produced bilge they've been pumping out for the last 15 years..."return to our old-school sound" my ass!

Basically, Aerosmith are completely full of shit at this stage...I'm extremely annoyed with this nonsense.

LMAO. You are DEAD ON brother. What a fuckin disappointment. Looks like this'll be the first studio album by Aerosmith that I won't buy. As the Who said "we don't get fooled again".
I guess they are going for the American Idol sound. I'm really pissed off at these guys ....AND Jack Douglas.

This shit is produced by carrie underwood. I mean seriously. They should have just fired steven's ass and hired Sammy Hagar instead. Or Glenn. We know he's sick and tired of where he is right now.

...it's safe to say its gonna be a huge pile of mediocre shit. They really called this in. I have heard 7 tracks off of this from various outlets so far, and there is not a single song that sounds like "classic Aerosmith" (as advertised) or good enough to be "Aerosmith 80's/90's hit" worthy. I don't know why they bothered. Major disappointment.

I dont' think he is. If you were Joe Perry, wouldn't you fight tooth and nail NOT to have this on the CD. Release it as a single later, just keep the CD pure. Want a ballad, at least make one with some bite. Piano, some guitars, or acoustic. This is right there w/Don't wanna miss a thing. Joe Perry is well on board.

I clearly remember the first time I heard "Back in the Saddle". I was 10 in 1983 and some older kid was playing it on a boom box in the back of the school bus. It was one of those "Holy shit! What is that awesomeness???" kinda moments. Do I need to continue???

Has done it again. Going back to the old sound? Fucking where? I've listened to every tune that they have put out so far and there is absolutely nothing 70's or even 80's about it! It obvious Jack Douglas was there for his name only and to try to dupe people into thinking Aeroshit wasn't shitting us once again. But you can't get away from that now in this age. I'm in disfuckingbelief that Brad, Joe, Joey, Steven and Tom tried to push this as "Going back in time", "Getting our sound back with Jack" kind of horseshit talk that makes me want to just slap the shit out of each of them. Hey Aeroshit, Where's a "No More, No More" from you motherfuckers on the new cd? Where's a "Sick as a dog" on this new new cd? Where's a "Draw the line" kind of vibe or a "No Surprise" or "Chiquita" or "Toys in the attic". Aeroshit, I got 3 parting words for you pussies. "YOU"VE GONE SOFT"!

Sharkbyte, how much more do you need to hear? I'm not being unfairly harsh, this is HORRIBLE! Is this the Diane Warren song? Cuz there's one on deck, and Carrie Underwood.

I've heard 7 songs now, only LuvXXX is interesting, slightly creative and not typical. And that's mid tempo.

this was arguably my favorite band as a kid. It JUST gets worse and worse. Whitford can tell you its their best ever, they got Douglas back, blah, blah. This is so embarassing. Even if you have to serve up a ballad, does it have to be like a country pop ballad, the video looking like any other run of the mill pop video.

the mighty Rick-Steve, the man that one first name just wasn't enough, his parents said "he needs 2 first names!"
love it. you command a post.

Couldn't agree more. again, I thought they were writing on their own. Child, Frederkisen, Vallance. Pull up the list of songs they've written over the years, big hits, totally cheese. This album may be fluffier and more watered down than Just Push Play. Carrie Underwood? Why not just get Reba McIntire.

I gave an ear due to the early hype from the band, and the fact Jack Douglas was on board. I knew better, but thought, "maybe they'll make an effort to return to a grittier ASmith". Cuz many older bands are doing that now, getting rootsier. Definitely not Aerosmith. Even the one song I found interesting, LuvXXX, has very milk toast guitars, no bite.

About what I expected....they will have a few ballads (this one sounds just like the one for that space movie), a few pop songs and a few songs that have a hint of 70's rock to them (but just a hint, because we don't want anyone to think that Aerosmith has any balls left), which is the formula for a shitty record.....the worst part is that this record will probably go platinum because of all of the American Idol-type morons out there....by the way, based on that picture, someone needs to tell Joe that 80's rap is no longer in style!

I was a major Aerosmith fan in the 70s - it really was like this, everyone loved Zeppelin and then there was this division between people who were Aerosmith or Kiss fans and that was by age. I was in the younger Kiss bracket but I'll never forget hearing Walk This Way when it came out, I was like 10 and just started listing to the radio - that riff blew me away. Toys in the Attic was the first album I ever bought once I turned 11 and I still have that original copy. It was the first riff I learned to play on guitar another year later. I was an Aerosmith and Rush guy up until 1980. Night in the Ruts is amazing and criminally under looked album. Live Bootleg was probably the album I listened to more than any other for several years. When they got back together and did Done With Mirrors in the later 80s, I thought the record was OK and I even saw them on that tour and they were not good. I wrote them off and to this day, I've checked out everything and they have put out nothing worth a damn. I wrote em off 25 years ago and after hearing this garbage, I still have that stance.

after all the feudin' that Stanley and Tyler have been doing, I had to check this out. Man, I couldn't get 45 seconds into this tune before wondering how Tyler thinks his album is more 70's than Kiss. Sure Aerosmith may have more top 40 singles than Kiss, but its obvious that they are TRYING to write them. Yes, this song will probably chart higher than a single like "Hell or Halleluiah" but it's pretty obvious to me which album 'rocks' harder.

and that Aerosmith album cover looks pretty comic-booky to me, Steven.
