KISS To Guest On 'Rockline' - Oct. 13, 2012
KISS will guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" with host Bob Coburn on Monday, October 15 at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET. Fans are encouraged to speak with KISS by calling 1-800-344-ROCK (7625). The show will be streamed on the "Rockline" web site for two weeks beginning the afternoon after the live broadcast.

For more information, visit RocklineRadio.com.

KISS' 20th studio album, "Monster", is likely to sell between 60,000 and 65,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to industry web site Hits Daily Double. The estimate was based on one-day sales reports compiled after the record arrived in stores on October 9 via Universal Music Enterprises.

KISS' previous CD, "Sonic Boom", opened with 108,000 units back in October 2009 to land at position No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. This marked the band's highest-charting LP ever.

KISS has notched eight Top 10 albums, according to Billboard.com. Its previous highest-charting set was 1998's "Psycho Circus", which debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 110,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The group's other high-charting sets include 1975's "Alive!" (No. 9), 1977's "Love Gun" (No. 4) and 1992's "Revenge" (No. 6).

Described in a press release as a "12-track, straight-ahead rock 'n' roll album," "Monster" features collaborations among all four members — including co-founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons and longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer — in an album that shows the band at the top of its game.

Truly a brilliantly done hard rock album. Well done KISS!

What's a shame is that the damn thing is going to bomb in terms of sales; 65k-70k is what is being projected for their first week. Sonic Boom did 108k in their first week...what happened people? Rush did like 103k in their first week so I'm sure KISS could've too.

Damn shame. :/

They lost a lot of the original die hard fans when Paul said they didn't need us any more they had a whole new group of fans and dressed up two losers like two hard rock legends. I bet they would like to have us now to buy this piece of shit ,lol. That's why sonic boom stalled at #2 and this won't make #1 either. We're outta here, lol.

I think the reason many Kiss haters come in and comment here is to look at the number of adulators who either don't know or don't care as to the twisted history of this once great group. I'm not saying Paul Stanley did any wrong per se on that radio interview gone wrong (DJ clearly opened up with insulting Paul Stanley by making fun of his lisp) but he did agree to come on someone else's show thereby being subject to their rules and conditions. Monster could be really good record (I don't think that highly of it) but I don't give 2 shits. I am not an adulator.

Don't need a lousy album recorded by half a tribute band. Take the make up off or change it.
