VENOMOUS CONCEPT Working On New Material - Oct. 11, 2012

VENOMOUS CONCEPT, the old-school hardcore/punk project featuring Shane Embury (guitar, NAPALM DEATH), Kevin Sharp (vocals, BRUTAL TRUTH), Danny Lilker (bass, BRUTAL TRUTH, NUCLEAR ASSAULT) and Danny Herrera (drums, NAPALM DEATH), is working on material for its third album, tentatively due next year. According to a message on the group's Facebook page, "three blistering new tracks of savage ANTI CIMEX-inspired mayhem" have just been completed, with more to come.

VENOMOUS CONCEPT's second effort, "Poisoned Apple", came out in April 2008. it was the follow-up to 2004's "Retroactive Abortion", which was released on Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings.

If they have to pin their style down to sounding like Anti-Cimex, I'm cool with that. Anti-Cimex were one of the best hardcore bands ever; second only to Discharge.

Funny this article came out today, I was listening to the first disc on the way back home. Fuckin love these guys! I hope they tour just a bit more extensively, Ive have gotten to see them yet. They can bring out Primate too, Kevin can do double duty.
