METAL CHURCHRonny Munroe on vocals, Kurdt Vanderhoof and Jay Reynolds on guitars, Steve Unger on bass, and Jeff Plate on drums — will celebrate their official reunion on board 70000 Tons Of Metal, the world's biggest heavy metal cruise.

Sorry but this is a Kurdt Vanderhoof cover band and was for years. Ronnie Munroe is aweful. Was a huge fan of Vanderhoof's prog band Presto Ballet and Munroe "sang" on one their full lengths and an ep and RUINED them both. Where the hell are Craig Wells, Duke Erickson and Kirk Arrington??? And for that matter where the hell is Mike Howe? He was no David Wayne but a great replacement!

Posts the same thing in every Metal Church posting. Wonder what the deal is.

How is it a Vanderhoof cover band when he was in the band for those early albums and continued to write and perform in the studio afterward?

Dave, it's me! Don't you remember? Anyway, my point is that Vanderhoof is the ONLY remaining original member and has been for years. Was a fan after discovering them in 84 and followed them all the way up to their reunion record Masterpiece, even loved the Mike Howe era, but to me their last few albums don't feel or sound like Metal Church to me. It's like what Axel's done. Just cause you slap the name G-n-R on something doesn't make it G-n-R. Always been super passionate about Metal Church that's all so shit like this get's me pissy. Forgive me fellow Blabbergoobs. Carry on.

For me, Metal Church will always include Mike Howe. His first two albums with the band are my favourites.

1/5 of the original band?? Not MC in my book. However, if Howe was that 1/5th, I may reconsider..haha

But I just can't get into Ronnie Moore era Metal Church. Maybe since it's the self titled album one show and greatest hits the second it could be all right. I won't diss them since I've never seen them live with Ronnie, but the re recorded WATCH THE CHILDREN PRAY sure doesn't instill a lot of confidence.

With just about everyone here. I wanna know where and the hell Duke, Wells and Erickson are. And yes listen to Badlands. Loved Mike Howe.

Glad to hear they are back, but Reynolds is a Malice guy and they just didn't do it for me. Ronnie? well doughnut jokes aside....nope

"Reformed with 1 original member" would be the more accurate headline.

If they want to borrow my cow, I'll lend it to them. All they have to do is ask. On a serious note, I wonder what happened to the core guys, also. It's like if Scott, Charlie, and Frank from Anthrax all dropped off the face of the earth 20 years ago. No, wait. That's many of your dream scenarios.

MC hasn't been MC in a long time I agree.... But I dont see anything wrong with Ronny as a singer... I saw clips of him singing some of the older stuff and it sounded pretty good (like 'Gods Of Wrath' for example)

Was never a fan of Reynolds's style compared to Marshall and Well's, but he's ok. The real shame is that hack Munroe is behind the Mic again. He's ruined their past few albums with his flat, uninspired singing and boring vocal lines. Since Arrington can't be with the band, I'm ok Plate filling in. He did a stand-up job on the albums he's played on (he sounded very good live too).

I just can't get behind the Munroe-era stuff. He seems like a decent guy but doesn't fit with MC's sound. Find Howe and bring him back, or call it a day.

I mean, sure it's not the best line-up of musicians they've ever had, and, no, the 3 Munroe albums are the bottom end of their catalog. But, hey, I, for one, really like Munroe era M.C.

I don't like his albums as much as Howe, or Wayne (R.I.P.) - but, I do also like the Munroe albums. I thought, 'This Present Wasteland' was a terrific release. I absolutely love that Lp.

I am really stoked to find M.C. reuniting. And when they say reuniting, they don't mean the 'Classic Line-up'. They simply are saying they're getting the band going again. It's not like they're pulling any punches, they told you the line-up. It's just that they retired, or 'Called it quits'. That's all...they're back and I'm very pleased about that...now I really hope they put another Lp. out or a few. Thanx, for getting the machine going again.

I love the Metal Church !!!!!!!!!

Why are you reading this story? You know, I wonder how many of these comments actually come from members of the very bands that are reported on. Kreator being on this bill is enough for me to spend my money on this cruise. Fucking haters everywhere man!!!!!!

Ronnie is bad ass!
I saw them live at BB Kings in NY opening for Overkill and i must say, MC was a tad better than Overkill that night.
And any one who knows Overkill knows that isn't easy to accomplish.

Ronnie shreds live plain and simple.

E~
