EDDIE VAN HALEN Attends TREMONTI Concert In Kansas City - Oct. 4, 2012
VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen was in attendance at last night's (Wednesday, October 3) concert by CREED and ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti at Beaumont Club in Kansas City, Missouri.

VAN HALEN bassist Wolfgang Van Halen made his first appearance as part of Tremonti's solo band last month at a show in Rhode Island. This marks the first time Wolfgang has played with anyone outside of his father Eddie, his uncle Alex and singer David Lee Roth.

After last night's show, Wolfgang tweeted, "So glad my pop got to see the TREMONTI gig tonight in KC!"

Eddie Van Halen recently spent three weeks in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery for diverticulitis.

Wolfgang Van Halen is replacing Tremonti's bandmate from CREED and ALTER BRIDGE, Brian Marshall, who is sitting out the Tremonti trek for undisclosed personal reasons. The other members of Tremonti's touring band include Eric Friedman on guitar and Garrett Whitlock on drums.

Tremonti is on the road behind his debut solo album, "All I Was", which came out this past July.

Is this Tremonti guy trying to recruit Wolfie full time? Or is he just using him for publicity because nobody would know or care about Tremonti if Wolfie wasn't playing bass on his tour. Wolfgang is the only reason VH is an active band again. Without him VH will fade into obscurity again.

Read some previous posts, he is good friends with Wolfie and a huge fan of his dad's. He is only playing with him because he needed someone last minute and asked him if he would be interested.

Tremonti played on My Sacrifice, the best mainstream rock hit of the century so far.

I hope so! I had tickets for one of the shows that got cancelled in August. Bring us another round of VH please! Preferably some more dates in the south. ;)

Obviously the 18 year old is in the same physical shape as the rest of the band, who were in their late teens in the early 70s.

I was good friends with his older brother Dan in high school and Mark back in the day was just starting out on guitar; we all played. Good to see him living the dream. BTW… John Lowery (John 5) was also in the same school and he is a killer! I shit myself when I first saw him playing with his teeth and I should have bought his white Jackson but couldn’t afford it. Good for you Mark & John on you’re accomplishments.

He looks healthy.

Came WAY too close to losing him a couple months ago. I'm glad he's up and about again.

Has Ed fired his son yet? I mean he's caught him in the act of being in another band. Didn't he fire Michael Anthony with the excuse "you can't be in two bands"??

I think this is a better suited gig for Wolfgang. Out of the shadow of his dad.

Tre-Who? This band sounds and looks just like all those other bands. Wolfgang learned their shit in not even a day. He's just gigging.

Mark Tremonti is a really cool down to earth guy who made it, unlike a lot of us. A buddy of mine in Orlando knows him and he is one of the coolest cats you could know! He is the guy that would stop and talk to you, sign your stuff and probably hang out with ya and have a drink, all while being humble and down to earth!

Good job Mark !

Wolfgang plays with Tremonti now Eddie shows up at the show. Coincidence? I think not. Good album though.
