ROB ZOMBIE Debuts Trailer For 'Lords Of Salem' - Oct. 4, 2012
Rob Zombie has released the first official trailer for his upcoming film "The Lords Of Salem", according to The Pulse Of Radio. The horror film, Zombie's fifth live-action feature, stars his wife Sheri Moon Zombie as a Massachusetts DJ who discovers that playing a mysterious record somehow activates a curse placed on her town by a coven of witches 300 years ago.

Zombie told The Pulse Of Radio a while back that this is the first time he's made a movie with explicitly supernatural overtones. "Yeah, the other ones aren't at all, I don't think," he said. "' [House Of 1000] Corpses' was just this crazy, bloody, you know, 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' thing, and 'Devil's Rejects' was always meant to be sort of like a post-modern Western, and the 'Halloween' films, I tried to make them not supernatural on purpose. So yeah, this will be the first one that's sort of about supernatural things coming back to life. It's good. I'm excited. It's gonna be very different than the other films."

The genuinely creepy trailer offers a barrage of Satanic imagery, including witches burning at the stake, pagan animal masks, bizarre rituals and Sheri Moon Zombie straddling a demonic goat.

The film premiered last month at the Toronto International Film Festival, where it was picked up for distribution by Anchor Bay. The company will release it sometime in early 2013.

Zombie's co-headlining "Twins Of Evil" tour with MARILYN MANSON just got underway last weekend and stops on Thursday (October 4) in Topeka, Kansas.

Watch the first trailer for "The Lords Of Salem" below.

Rob Zombie is a cliche filmmaker. It looks just as bad as his other films. Give me a thumbs down. I don't care.

My feelings on Zombie are well known, but I did like Devil's Rejects, and well, this trailer looks fucking awsome. Almost Kubrickish (I know.. blasphemy). I have always had a thing for Satanic cult movies (Devil's Rain/Rosemary's Baby...etc). Hopefully this is as good as it looks.

Looks okay. Still hate that he puts his wife in all his movies. She's hot, but she can't act her way out of a paper bag.

Abner, if you're not T-Boner, you do a mighty fine impression! (without the caps lock key)

I don't remember ever calling you Riotact. lol.. as far as T-Boner goes, he is an old poster here. Not name calling, at all. You do sound a lot like him though.

And hey, just did a google search, and you both censor the word F**K the exact same way and you both write extremely similiar with the '...' stuff and weird formatting. Come on, man. You aren't fooling anyone.

I am a geek.. a geek with a near photographic memory and I do most of my work online, so it wasn't really a waste of the less than five minutes it took to prove he's a liar! Any other questions? Fun stuff! That sly bastard had everyone thinking he left years ago. LOL

come together as a whole. To get by on style and mood you have to be an expert stylist, like Fulci.and.Argento in their prime, but Rob is nowhere near that level, and no amount of sub-Lynchian/Kubrickian flourishes are going to.change that.

still curious though.

"FUCK!!! WHERE IS CHI.-DEM. AX-MAN"

"Elvis better get ready to roll over cause AX-MAN is coming!"

hah - busted!

I want to give a movie like this a chance, but there seems to be too much emphasis style (pretty shots, too long holds on images, etc) and none to story. I know its only the trailer and that's its job, still...

So, why lie, man? It's obvious you're T-Boner. If you're going to alias, at least don't use words like "ax-man" and "FUKKEN" that anyone can google and see that it's definately you. So what's happening, man? Why the secrecy? You going to disappear now that I found you out? Stick around! Everyone missed you and your man-love for Axl around here!

I saw it at TIFF, the film looks great visually, some of the acting is not so hot (people complained about his wife, but I thought she was pretty decent in it, Jeff Phillips was great as well), but some of the others were brutal, as was some of the writing... it was a pretty forgetable flick to be honest...

hit and miss director (hits being Devil's Rejects and Halloween). This movie has a vintage cheesy 70s b-horror feel to it judging by the trailer. I'm actually kind of excited about it now whereas I initially I thought it was going to be kind of lame.

From the director who ruined Halloween...........comes Rob Zombie with, based on the look of the film, the left over budget of the Blair Witch Project. What, did he collect bottles to finance the film?
