LED ZEPPELIN To Attend London Screening Of 'Celebration Day' - Oct. 1, 2012
LED ZEPPELIN members John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant will be at London, England's Hammersmith Apollo on October 12 for a special premiere screening of "Celebration Day". A very limited number of tickets is available here.

LED ZEPPELIN met with the press on September 21 in London to launch "Celebration Day". The band was adamant about not addressing any reunion rumors — despite the fact that they were promoting a film of their last reunion. When asked if the band would be performing together again, Jimmy Page told a reporter: "Let me ask you a question. Have you seen the film? Did you enjoy it? Then we've done our job, haven't we?" When asked if ZEPPELIN would "do it again," Plant cracked: "With you?"

Page told the press that he was thrilled with Jason Bonham's performance filling in for his late father, John Bonham, saying, "Jason was absolutely monumental. From the very first rehearsal right through to the O2." Plant added: "It was appropriate and it was wonderful and also his vigor was so fantastic too. He drove us, y'know? It was peculiar and strange at times, but at the same time it was very rewarding for all of us."

Plant went on to talk about the band's relationship these days: "We don't see each other too often, but we've just spent about an hour together. . .and no sooner we start talking, than some little innuendo creeps in. It's just what happens when you've spent a lot of time together."

When asked why it took five years for the 2007 reunion concert to see the light of day, John Paul Jones joked: "Five years is like five minutes in ZEPPELIN time."

Jason Bonham told The Pulse Of Radio that following the ZEPPELIN reunion show, he was astounded by the accolades and support he received from fans. "It was just a little bit hard to comprehend," he said. "The next day, when the press was so unanimous of 'the greatest return that could ever be,' that's when it kind of got very emotional for me. That was hard, to suddenly. . . .'wow, I did it.' And watching the clips back on YouTube, I'm amazed I pulled it off."

...the Cream reunion was WAY better than this - all songs performed in the original keys, no avoiding the high notes - Jack Bruce was seriously ill at the time but his performance was spine-chillingly good. Not to mention Ginger Baker and Clapton played their old asses off.

The Zeppelin 'reunion' on the other hand really shouldn't have happened IMO - John is dead, and that's that, really. Jason hasn't exactly set the world on fire with his drumming to earn his father's mantle, has he?

I say all this as someone who has nothing but love and respect for Plant, Page and Jones - but there's a good reason why Plant didn't want to do it in the first place. You cannot honestly watch this performance and say that vocally he's able to truly do these songs justice anymore.

Just my 2 cents...

5 years because it took that long to re-do the vocals in a studio since live he sounded like shit in the wrong key. I understand people get old but if you cant sing the songs anymore maybe its time to keep singing in shitty side projects.

Haha, you clowns want to shit on Zeppelin?

I heard a bootleg of this show years ago, completely unedited or pro-tooled, and I must say I was impressed. You would never rock as hard on your best day as they did that night.

Nowhere in my earlier post was I 'shitting' on Zeppelin.

Have some objectivity, for God's sake. These guys created some all-time legendary music, but they are not infallible.

Even Kings grow old and lose their powers.

Great you heard the bootleg, I also heard the bootleg. It was down tuned to help him sing (sounded like shit) and when high vocals where to kick in he was MIA

A bad Led Zepelin concert and this was not is better than anybody else's best! it took so long to release it because they did not want to look as if if they were cashing in on the event they were playing and the others were hoping to continue on and release new material. now that they are doing press for this maybe there is still some hope they will decide to go for it 1 last time.

Some of use clearly have slightly higher expectations than others for what we expect out of a live concert....but by all means, you go ahead and enjoy 2nd rate versions of Led Zep tunes.

Sickening.

Cannot wait to see & hear Plant , JPJ , Page jam once again! They all should play a few songs live for the fans during the release of this show!

All I'm saying is that if you want to see Led Zep in their prime you can break out that self-titled DVD or The Song Remains the Same.

I personally don't know what I'm in for when I buy this Celebration Day DVD, but I'm willing to take the chance based on what I heard on the bootleg.

Are you kidding me, the Zep reunion kicked the living shit out of that pathetic Cream reunion, with their boring songs, no energy, not interesting or on fire IN ANY WAY (they never were). Zep's reunion with For Your Life (in standard key, btw) and Kashmir (in standard key), and the the other classics, some tuned down, so what, they were amazing. Way more legit than Cream's wannabe boring bitter washed up old men reunion. Let's face reality, Cream on their best day couldn't lick the dogshit off Zeppelin's shoes on Zeps worst day, that's a fact Jack! Not even in the same league, Kashmir and For Your Life ALONE (much less Zep's unmatched 9 classic albums) vaporizes Cream's whole career into little pathetic bits in 1 second flat...
