Former AEROSMITH Guitarist JIMMY CRESPO To Perform Entire 'Rock In A Hard Place' Album - Sep. 17, 2012
Former AEROSMITH lead guitarist Jimmy Crespo will commemorate the 30th anniversary of the band's "Rock In A Hard Place" album by performing the LP in its entirety backed by SIN CITY SINNERS.

The event will take place in Las Vegas on November 3 at The Railhead (inside Boulder Station) and will be a free show.

Jimmy is best known as the man who replaced Joe Perry in AEROSMITH from 1979 to 1984. In addition to appearing on the "Night In The Ruts" album, Jimmy co-wrote the majority of songs and performed almost all the guitar on "Rock In A Hard Place".

SIN CITY SINNERS' own Zach Throne will handle the lead vocals for this special event, with special guests Ron Keel (KEEL), Paul Shortino (ROUGH CUTT, QUIET RIOT), Frank Dimino (ANGEL) and Louie Merlino (BEGGARS & THIEVES) each singing a track. Rounding out the night will be Brent Muscat (FASTER PUSSYCAT) on guitar, Rob Cournoyer (RAGING SLAB) on drums and Michael T. Ross (LITA FORD, MISSING PERSONS) on keyboards.

It is underrated as all hell. Solid playing from Jimmy & Aersomith on it. Their last true hard rock record. Would be cool to hear it all live.

Would definitely check this out if I lived in Vegas. Really underrated album, and has the added bonus of not having any songs ruined by constantly being played ad nauseum for 30+ years.

One of my favorite Aerosmith records. I guess it had to do with the fact there was such a lull between Nights in the Ruts and Rock in a Hard Place that a massive craving of Aersomith was on tap. Four years is a long time when you go from middle school to high school waiting for Aerosmith to put something out... But it could have been worse, case in point, the time between Boston's Don't Look Back and Third Stage. Eight damn years. By that time the college years were happening.

Like everyone else has said, this album is far beyond underrated. Aerosmith are my favorite band and this album is a gem. Hell, I've got it on vinyl. May have to put it on tonight.

first 3 songs were great and lightning strikes is one of my favorite Aerosmith songs but let's not get carried away. it was a ok record but in no way a classic. pretty sad that crespo has done nothing since his time with the band or at least anything that people have heard of.

my buddies and i were blown away. crespo was great and all, but i remember rick dufay ( the other guitarist that took brad,s spot) as being pretty impressive, too. the guy was a ball of fire.

You could take the best ten songs from the last 25 years of Aerosmith, and that collection would be inferior to this album. Side one especially just kicks ass. Too bad Crespo never followed this gig with another hard rock project.

I still listen that album every now and then, pretty raw and it doesn't get old to me; definitely underrated, it does deserve more appreciation because it's a good record, even more considering the inner goings Aerosmith were struggling through at that time.

lotta love out here for it. Some great tunes on it, but top 3 ASmith albums? it could have been much better if the production was better, Tyler in better form. Cheshire Cat, Joanie's Butterfly, a few others are great songs though. Saw them on that tour as well, one of the loudest shows ever, you could barely hear the individual notes, just a wall of sound.

I know I am in the minority but I also loved Done With Mirrors! That is actually the tour I saw Aerosmith on.

To me anything after DWM is just blah and don't care to listen too!

Night In The Ruts is also a VERY underrrated album too!!! SOLID listen from beginning to end!!!

That'd solve all their problems, at least that's what the fans would think.
