FLYLEAF: 'New Horizons' Video Released - Sep. 4, 2012
"New Horizons", the video for the title track from FLYLEAF's upcoming third album, can be seen below.

The new album follows up 2009's "Memento Mori" and FLYLEAF's self-titled 2005 debut, which have combined to sell more than 1.6 million copies in the U.S.

According to The Pulse Of Radio, FLYLEAF guitarist Sameer Bhattacharya said in a new interview with Noisecreep that the band members' Christian faith is still a huge part of the band's music and lyrics after three albums. He explained, "Absolutely — when you're serious about your faith it reflects in all aspects of your lives. In a very large way, the messages of the songs reflect where we are as individuals and how we look at life. Faith plays a big part in our music and we all wear that proudly."

Asked if fans relate to the group's spirituality, Bhattacharya continued, "It's amazing how our music has touched people of all faiths and walks of life . . . We're so fortunate to get the feedback that confirms what we are doing is right. I couldn't ask for more than just that — the validation, and hearing that the music brings hope and helps you live life to the fullest is a beautiful thing."

FLYLEAF has never been marketed exclusively to the Christian music market, and singer Lacey Sturm told The Pulse Of Radio not long ago that she's fine with that. "What is the Christian market anyway?" she said. "You know, I mean, we play music, if people like it and they want to, you know, they want to support us, then that's amazing, you know. It doesn't matter, you know, if you're Christian or not."

Heck yes! I wasn't too keen on this at first from the little snippet they had up but after hearing the whole thing I am pleasantly surprised by its positiveness and power. Its like you are watching them grow in way when one considers the darker struggles captured in the first album. More and more these days music is becoming really whiny emo butthurt all the time and the artists themselves are complaining and belly aching about everything under the sun that hardly any solutions are offered. I am starting to suspect that playing a bitter victim is far more funner and fulfilling than actually fixing whats wrong for far too many people. So its nice to have something positive after all the carrying on and dragging of feet. Flyleaf 4 Life!
