CHICKENFOOT: Debut Album To Be Re-Released With Bonus Tracks - Aug. 28, 2012

The self-titled debut album from CHICKENFOOT will be re-released as a deluxe double-disc version on October 16. The set will feature live tracks recorded on the band's "Different Devil" tour this past spring while supporting its sophomore album, "Chickenfoot III".

Commented CHICKENFOOT frontman Sammy Hagar: "'Chickenfoot' will always be special to me for exactly what it is.

"Our former label went out of business and the album had been discontinued. You could not find the album anywhere, which is crazy! We got the masters back and our new label will re-release the first album and we thought we should include some live tracks from 'Chickenfoot lll'."

CHICKENFOOT's sophomore album, "III", sold 42,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 9 on The Billboard 200 chart.

The band's self-titled debut opened with 49,000 units back in June 2009 to debut at No. 6.

Only when Hagar says something stupid, or bitter flavored out of envy, or with no sense at all, or backstabbing style, and well, since that is what happens almost everytime when he opens his mouth I don't do it as much as you imply, you know? It bores me. Besides, Hagar trashes himself a lot thinking his music is Led Zeppelin level, that all his Chicken records are sold out and a long etc., and I decided to have some fun with it this time, you should too... Oh! And yes! My purpose is to diminish Hagar's "success", you caught me there.

DLR ass? I'm just going to say (again) that Roth was for a long time the frontman that Hagar could only dream of, so you know what you can do with your homophobic (THAT'S really sad and pathetic) thoughts; you probably think you were clever on that one, well, not. Didn't seem stupid to me, he says the label went out of business and the album couldn't be found, happens all the time.

I'm sure Hagar dreamt of dressing like a chick and prancing around with an inflatable mic. Take a look at Dave, badass rock star my ass, you put on classic VH and then you look at him doing his ridiculous dance with the Garth Brooks mic and the sparkly outfits, Hagar might sometimes dress like ronald mcdonald but at least he looks like a man. take a recent video of Dave and show anyone and they'll say he looks gay and ridiculous.

Good morning my homophobic friend. You know? (please don't take it bad) You remember me that military guy from "American Beauty", I don't know why but I read your comments and that character comes to my mind; nevermind.

Yes, Roth has lost a lot nowadays (also I said WAS), but even so Hagar will never be (and never have been) the frontman that Roth was in his heyday. Roth was the epitome of a rock star, even a few years after VH, you can deny it all you want but that's the truth.

Lame that the one unreleased studio song will not be included on the cd the full album is on. I like when the entire sessions are put on one disc. I set my itunes up where the full album plays with the B-sides at the end which is what I did with this already when Best Buy released the deluxe version.

this cd was sold exclusively at best buy and I haven't seen it in years.

The 2nd cd was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Better quality songs, you can actually hear Michael Anthony's Bass, Sammy really hit the notes that haven't been done since the VH days and he seems like he actually tried to write good songs, I think he did.

Sam Hagar fans think his shit talking is all fact. Fuck him! I'll always think Mike is cool. Van Halen with no Dave is just a tampon commercial and Dave without them is a train wreck, but together they're the fucking best hard rock band in the world.

Agreed. The first album rocks. I wasn't all that impressed with III, even with all of Sammy's hype about how far they came as a band; no shit-they're all super talented and been around forever.

With that being said, I hope it's not released in one of those stupid ass eco-sleeves like the first go round.

Yes, it's the 3rd release of the first CD. I bought the first edition with the heat-reacting cover. Then there was the white version with 1 or 2 bonus tracks? Then this.
