PAPA ROACH Forced To Withdraw From ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK UPROAR FESTIVAL - Aug. 24, 2012
PAPA ROACH has been forced to withdraw from the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival. Lead singer Jacoby Shaddix has been diagnosed with a nodule on his left vocal cord, and at the advice of his physician he will undergo corrective surgery to remove the nodule and prevent further damage.

"It's no secret that I've been having issues with my voice lately. I was hoping to be able to go out there and kill it on this tour by resting and doing vocal exercises, but my voice has just gone out on me. I hate to let our fans down, but unfortunately surgery is the only way to fix it," Shaddix said. "The last thing we want to do is give our fans less than 100% every night. We know they'll understand and we'll be back better than ever."

"It was amazing having PAPA ROACH on the road with us for the first few Uproar shows. We're disappointed that they can't continue for the rest of the tour, but Jacoby's health is the priority and we wish him a speedy recovery," says Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival co-producer John Oakes.

Beginning Friday, August 24, the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival main stage schedule will be adjusted to allow longer performances from SHINEDOWN, GODSMACK, STAIND and ADELITAS WAY.

PAPA ROACH's new studio set, "The Connection", is due out on October 2. First single "Still Swingin'" arrived late last month.

A kinetic typography lyric video for "Still Swingin'" can be seen below.

God forbid that Godsmack will actually have to perform a set longer than 45 minutes.

That being said...

I think you disappointed maybe 5 Papa Roach fans. But I may be over stating this point.

You give them more credit than I would have with 5 fans. I was thinking more along the lines of Evil_Twin with just 2.

However I have to agree hope he does have a speedy recovery.

I thought that he had all of this stuff fixed?

I listened to their newest single just there. I see they've also jumped on the dubstep bandwagon. So that makes Korn, Papa Roach and Muse. Wonder what odds on Linkin Park releasing an album of dubstep remixes of their old songs? No doubt Limp Bizkit will be adding some dubstep to their next album.

Their 5 fans. The singer's (I use the term "singer" loosley) siblings and parents.

Some people actually want to go to see Papa Roach in concert? Strange times. Dubstep is the new pop.
