MOTÖRHEAD's latest album, "The Wörld Is Yours", sold 7,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 94 on The Billboard 200 chart. The band's previous effort, "Motörizer", premiered with 6,400 units back in 2008 to debut at No. 82, while 2006's "Kiss Of Death" registered a first-week tally of 3,500.

"The Wörld Is Yours" was released in North America on February 8, 2011. The CD is a vital, scorching statement of intent from the band as they launch Motörhead Music, their very first record label.

Written and performed by Lemmy Kilmister, Philip Campbell and Mikkey Dee in both Los Angeles, California and Wales, with production once again by Cameron Webb, "The Wörld Is Yours" serves to remind everyone that you should never stop questioning or critiquing a society that would surely chew you up and spit you if given half a chance. And with 10 soul-scorching testaments to the unbridled power this world-famous trio continually maintain, "The Wörld Is Yours" delivers some of the finest, most important Motörmusic yet.

Say what you like about rap Lemmy, Kanye's music has touched and inspired millions more than your tales of embarassing escapades.

The Vocals Are Starting To Wear Thin- But Hay Nothing Last For Ever- And MOTOEHEAD Will Always Rule Far After There Gone Because There Music Is Trully Timeless. It's Sad I Can't Believe My Favorite Band Of All Time Is Dyin Out. I Never Wanted To See This Day Come.I've Seen All The Line Ups Over The Years Starting In 81. I Never Wanted It To End But The End Is Near.

I remember awhile back I had thought that it had been quite some time since Motorhead had come thru town and I thought maybe they were slacking, taking some time off. So I looked at their web site for tour dates. They had been everywhere - Europe, Asia, South America...playing every night all around the world. They have to be the hardest working band out there. Then they blew into town with Gigantour and blew the roof off the place. Pay attention kiddies - this is they way it is done. This is how legends go about their business.

The way Lemmy's fretting hand trembles while he plays is really worrying...wonder if it's related to his diabetes. It's amazing that it has no effect on his playing.

Yeah, he's showing his age, but who isn't? At 66 years old and given his lifestyle, the fact he's even alive and not in a psych ward for amphetamine-induced psychosis is quite a feat.

And I gotta say they kicked ass at Mayhem Fest a couple of weeks ago...crisp, tight set, short and sweet, no bullshit.

and the guy has a unique especially raspy, albeit otherwise limited, voice -

But this band is just too over-rated for me too remain quiet any more.

Most of their music is just plain boring !

for doing his schtick until he dies. I suspect he has no other option...probabaly has to tour in order to eat (and drink and gamble)

although, on the other hand, the band's paycheck has to be high enough to keep the interest of world class drummer Mickee Dee. It's not as if he couldnt get another gig in a heartbeat if he wanted one ?

I was lucky enough to see Motorhead at the Mayhem Festival and they were AMAZING!!! They were loud as all hell and in the pocket the whole show! Lemmy's almost 70, is diabetic and no doubt has emphazema from decades of hard core smoking, not to mention all the "energy boosters" he consumes. So yeah, his voice isn't what it once was, whose is really? And as far as his hand shaking, "energy boosters will do that to you haha. Anthrax, Motorhead, Slayer, and Slipknot were all on that day and put on one helluva show! od bless Lemmy and I hope he never dies!!!

The trembling is a fairly recent phenomenon.

I've been a Motorhead fan for a long time, and I and other fans only started noticing it over the last few years.

I'm hopeful Lemmy can keep Motorhead going until he's 70 at least, but let's face it, he's close to the end. There's no shame in saying it...age will catch up with us all.

Lemmy is an original, he was part of the underground rock scene when heavy was just embedded in rock and roll. He saw the Beatles when they were part of that scene, before the screaming girls took over. He went on to become roadie for Jimi Hendrix Experience before discovering the Marshall amp.
