YNGWIE MALMSTEEN Selling Clocks, Lighters For Charity - Aug. 15, 2012

Legendary Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen has set up an eBay store with some rare items and personal belongings to help raise funds for various charities. Among the items that are being auctioned are a Cartier gold-plated lighter and a Tiffany & Co. portable travel clock.

Acclaimed heavy metal singer Tim "Ripper" Owens (BEYOND FEAR, ex-JUDAS PRIEST, ICED EARTH), who has been fronting Yngwie's band both live and in the studio since February 2008, was unable to join Malmsteen on July 7 at Getaway Rock Festival in Gävle, Sweden due to scheduling conflicts with Tim's official Ronnie James Dio tribute band DIO DISCIPLES. Handling most of the lead vocals during Yngwie's set at Getaway Rock was bassist Ralph Ciavolino.

The company selling it is a pawn shop in Ft. Lauderdale FL. Isn't this where Yngwie lives?

Kinda weird as someone said above that it's being done through a Florida pawnbrokers, and there is no mention of charity on the actual auction listings. (only on Yngwie's page http://www.yngwiemalmsteen.com/home.html)

I didn't know he died. Or was that just his career? :-P
