BARONESS's Tour Bus Crashes In England - Aug. 15, 2012
**UPDATE**: Monica Seide of Speakeasy PR & Marketing has released the following statement to BLABBERMOUTH.NET:

"BARONESS were in a serious bus accident last night near Bath, England. The band members and crew are recovering at local hospitals. All tour dates are postponed until further notice."

The original article follows below.

According to ITV.com, Savannah, Georgia-based quartet BARONESS was involved in a serious road accident while between shows on its U.K. tour.

At around 11:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, August 15) at the junction of Brassknocker Hill and the A36 in Bath, the band's tour bus crashed and fell 30 feet over a viaduct.

Seven people were taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath, while two others — who were trapped and had to be rescued by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment — have been transported to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol. "Those people are now being treated by ambulance staff," a fire service spokesman told BBC News.

A Great Western Ambulance Service spokesman said, "Our staff assessed all occupants and provided any required treatment before and while en route to hospital."

Inspector Nick Hunt, from Avon and Somerset Police, added: "Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident. At this stage it is too early to tell what the cause was."

A photo of the accident aftermath can be seen at this location.

The band played at The Fleece in Bristol last night. They were on their way to Southampton when the accident happened.

BARONESS released its new album, "Yellow & Green", last month via Relapse Records.

Hoping everyone on the bus is okay. I love the band, but that's got little to do with my hopes for the welfare of the people involved.

30-foot fall after a crash? What an awful accident!

It's a miracle everyone involved is still alive. I wish them all a complete and rapid recovery.

I sincerely hope that everyone is OK and those injured I wish them a speedy recovery.

And on another sincere note, what the hell does RiotAct666 getting an ass hole tattoo have to do with this story. I guess trippP is feeling a tad anal this morning.

Get ready to horns down this post. It was karma for releasing such a shitty album! If it was as good as blue record this would have never happened.

While I may agree that Yellow & Green may not be The Blue Record... you're post will come back to you three-fold. It's still a good album but regardless... you call this situation Karma?

..we went over a 50 foot embankment in the middle of o where upstate PA, USA. I nearly lost my right arm, it was traumatic. No one deserves such a horrific experience. To wish ill will on these guys, even if I dislike their music is petty. Be grateful you were not on board or worse, underneath that tour bus. Think: Cliff Burton , Roger from Atheist, et al... Regardless of no one sustaining physical injuries, the PTSD will kick in, and may never leave them. God bless them and their families.

What, you mean it's karma for an album you didn't like but probably downloaded for nothing? Child. Now, I'm all for the piss taking on here, but some things just aren't funny. I can almost see the tumbleweeds blowing across you "comedians" posts, like I can almost see you blowing your own Fathers. Get a grip children. Kudos to people like RiotAct666 and mr fuzzy for not biting.

Anyway, I've never heard Baroness before, but hope they're all going to be OK.

When I hear the name of a band is "Baroness" I expect a girl to be in the band.
