PETER CRISS To Appear At New Jersey KISS Expo - Aug. 15, 2012
Original KISS drummer Peter Criss will make his first appearance in almost 20 years at the New Jersey KISS Expo, set to take place on September 8 at the New Jersey Convention And Exposition Center in Edison, New Jersey.

According to KissAsylum.com, this will be one of your last chances to meet "the Catman." Sources tell the site Peter has decided to retire from signing and attending autograph events by next year. To give the fans one last hurrah, Peter will provide special "One-On-One With The Catman" meet-and-greet packages which include autographs, a photo with Peter, exclusive event merchandise, and most of all, the opportunity to do all this with Peter in an intimate, one-on-one environment where you can have your items signed and speak to him personally in a private room, away from the crowds and lines outside.

Criss will join Bruce and Bob Kulick as well as many other guests at this year's event.

Standard tickets are $20 in advance.

Since 1986, the New Jersey KISS Expo has been the premier fan-run KISS event of the world and this year will be the biggest and best lineup of any KISS expo ever.

Visit NJKissExpo.com for more information.

$275 for the 'one on one with the Catman' package?? It appears Peter is borrowing a page from Chaim's book on how to fleece your fans.

peter was a great small kit drummer. guys like charlie watts and phil rudd never did anything on the drums peter didn't do, and no one says they suck. that was his style, and he was great at it ...

@Vmax97....Peter was never a great drummer and his "small kit" was huge (much larger than Eris Singers current kit), so I'm not sure what you are talking about....Peter was a good drummer and his style worked well for the early Kiss sound, but let's not make more of his talents than they deserve.

before you she'll out the bucks. If I figured right, and it is a one day 10 hour event, 200 VIP tix ( at 275.00 ) comes out to about 20 an hour which is like 3. something mins. Per person. And that don't include breaks. Your question better not be a Long one...lol. What is that, $5,500 an hour? Sure dude, you were a founding member of KISS. The best band in the world in my opinion. You can go to your grave knowing that. But $275.00 for 3 minutes of your time is just flat out unacceptable in my opinion. And if I did have that kind of money to burn I would ask you this: when I took a train 70 miles to see you in the city the same week KISS also played (and I went) and brought the "Chelsea" album for you to hopefully sign, figuring you would realize I was a fan for even finding that fuckin' album, giving it to bill Acoin (who signed it first) waiting for it to come back to me, possibly missing my train home, and then getting it back scribbled all over, your signature not even legible, in essence, ruined, because there was a poor turnout....shit, I was there, why be pissed at me? Anyway, my three minutes are up.

Wow. I saw Peter in 1992 on a club tour and had the misfortune of meeting him for free. He signed my 2 albums but he was rude and couldn't care less about the fans that wanted to meet him. At least the show sucked that night.

Look...Peter is a lucky person to ever get where he did. He is not a "great" drummer or singer...he's very, very lucky. For everyone that wants to see the "original" line-up of KISS again...it would be an embarrassment with Ace and Peter. Let him go away, please. Don't encourage him.

At the end of his last KISS stint, it was clear the guy had lost whatever fire he once had as a player.

But look at some of the early clips in the first KISSOLOGY DVD. While Peter has never been a "chops" player, he once had the ability to drum like his life depended on it... and it was exciting and effective for the music.

And no, I wouldn't pay that much to see him now. I'll buy his book for $20 when it comes out, but that's about all.

I have many bootlegs along with the legitimate releases over the years and the one thing I noticed is that Peter C was all over the place. Check out Detroit January 1976 and the man was on fire. And then there's the Dynasty tour. No surprises there. What Peter C didn't have in drumming technique he more than made up in personality. And the arguments over the success of "Beth" may have some merit. It looks like "Beth"may have saved Destroyer. When they finally get voted into the RHOF there should only be four men on that podium. Maybe Bruce and Vinnie and Eric's rep. I don't know about Eric. Sorry Tommy.

Amen. Tommy fucks up live like ACE did and every other musician. Hendrix and Page were sloppy live and didn't play exactly like the record. I AM NOT comparing ACE to them (before all you nuts start ripping me) but what the fuck? It seems just like politics, if you have an agenda, you can find anything to fit your position. I don't have anything against Tommy and I'm sure he's a great guy. He will however, never even hold a candle to ACE FREHLEY.

I don't mind paying a fee but not getting fucked. I'm sure you will be rushed right through like cattle at the private jack off section and screamed at about one thing only getting signed by his assistant that will be holding his hand and poop bag. Get honest

No I don't have the time to stake out Peter's hotel for hours considering he doesn't tour or stay at hotels often. Um and I don't sit at random hotels praying a band is there. I know of some great people who do but that is lame in a sense.

This may be the one post that the Kiss Greed crew can all join together and give me a thumbs down.

Money! Nothing but MONEY

200 people does not assure the true fan of anything considering there are so many more. It's theft like exxon. But.....
