ALL THAT REMAINS: New Song Available For Streaming - Aug. 13, 2012
"Down Through The Ages", a brand new song from Massachusetts metallers ALL THAT REMAINS, can be streamed in the YouTube clip below. The track comes off the band's new album, "A War You Cannot Win", which is due in September via Razor & Tie/Prosthetic. The CD sees the band reunited with longtime producer Adam Dutkiewicz (THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA, AS I LAY DYING, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE). The record is the culmination of an intense writing period for the group that began shortly after their 18-month tour in support of "For We Are Many".

Commented ALL THAT REMAINS singer Phil Labonte: "We really busted our asses and tried to do some new stuff (like we always do) and we're really happy about what came out of it. Some of it is pretty different and is REALLY gonna blow you guys away. Some of it is gonna sound just like what you expect from ALL THAT REMAINS. And I'm sure all of it is gonna make the Internet have a conniption fit!"

Dutkiewicz previously helmed ALL THAT REMAINS' last album, 2010's "For We Are Many", as well as 2004's "This Darkened Heart" and 2006's "The Fall of Ideals".

"For We Are Many" sold 29,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The band's previous CD, "Overcome", opened with just under 29,000 units in September 2008 to enter The Billboard 200 chart at No. 16.

Man, I remember when this band was really exciting. "The Fall Of Ideals" is still one of the few metalcore greats.

Now, however... they play the same song over and over again. It's always standard metalcore crap, dumbed down for the 5FDP masses of "mall metal."

Have seen them on every tour they've done, going back to the first album. Sure, they aren't cutting edge or the heaviest band in the world, but they come up with really good songs. As far as more commercial bands are concerned they are one of my faves.

To compare them to FFDP is not really fair imo. They are nowhere near as pretentious, are WAY better musicians and do not have that embarrassing "I'm gonna kick your ass cuz im a tough guy" mentality at all. I've met them a few times, they are the most down to earth people you will meet.

They can make some real catchy stuff. Just bums me out they can't quite pull it off live.

Sorry Oli and co, ditch the typewriter drums and fake production. This doesn't even sound like a real band. Go back and listen to the classics...real music by real musicians. I love the concept of harmony guitars and kick ass drums, but geeesh, mix it up.

Always been a fan of Phil and the band.
The whole band is down to earth and good people.
This is just one song off a new album, I will not judge an entire cd by one song. I like the song.
I will see them if I get a chance again.
A blabbermouth post with no hate.

I like it however I feel the band has kinda stayed within the sound of Overcome and For We Are Many. Certainly not bad, just takes time to grow on ya.
