CINDERELLA Cancels Colorado Show Because Stage Is 'Too Small' - Aug. 10, 2012
According to 9News.com, CINDERELLA canceled its previously announced August 9 concert at Grizzly Rock in Lakewood, Colorado claiming that the stage at the venue was "too small."

The following statement was posted on the official Grizzly Rock Facebook page:

"CINDERELLA told us they didn't fit on the stage (even though the show had been advanced for weeks). They said they would come back at a later date, but who knows. Refunds will be available at the Grizzly Rock, or if you bought on Ticketweb, they are available through them."

A video report from 9News.com can be seen below.

CINDERELLA took a couple of years off from performing after frontman Tom Keifer's left vocal cord hemorrhaged during rehearsal, thereby making it impossible for him to sing.

The band played its first show in over three years on March 19, 2010 at the Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado.

My glass slippers don't fit..........the stage is too small...

"Shut up, ya spoiled, whiny little pretentious lipstick lesbo
bitch(s)!"
It applies to the band as well. See?
Poor Cinderella. She really had no choice being brought up by a butch dyke "Fairy" God Mother, and all.

They've played there in the past (2010), and said they might come back to play there in the future.

Hence, the stage is not the issue. There is something going on between the band and the show organizers, and Cinderella (veterans that they are) are publicly saying something that allows the organizers to save face so they don't completely burn that bridge for later on.

Same thing happens when singers mysteriously lose their voice for one show or a bus mysteriously breaks down a couple hundred miles outside of town. Those things really do happen, but not *all* the time. Hint, hint.

OK, explain this one ohh Mr answer for everything. It's a new venue, so how the fuck did they play there 2 years ago? Do they have a Delorean? Perhaps they morphed into a supergroup and spun around the world causing the earth to rotate backwards? Please washed up 80's guy, tell me how they played in a new venue two years ago........

Reminds me of the time Mick Mars told Kerrang Magazine that the Crue couldn't come to Europe because there was too much snow on the roofs of the concert halls they would be playing. If the check is good you can make accommodations. Small ticket sales. The truth hurts. The footage on you tube seems fairly solid too. Colorado's loss.

Grizzly Rose is 10 times bigger than Grizzly Rock, plus Grizzly Rock is in a shitty location, and yea the stage is pretty small, would probably only be able to fit a few combo amps along with that grand piano. LOL

It used to be called "After the Gold Rush" and was hair band central back in the late 80s/early 90s. It was THE place for hookups.

It used to be fire rated for 1000ish people, which is probably still true today.

Haven't been in since the remodel, so can't comment on the stage size or lack thereof.

Hilarious story though.

I saw Type O Negative play in a shitty little bar in London Ont called the Embassy during the October Rust tour. The stage was barely big enough for the drum kit.
So instead of canceling the show they got some carpenters in and extended the stage across what was the usual front entrance way (we had to use back door to get in the bar) and merch table area.
It was still a real tight fit up there for those guys and all their gear ... and not much head room for Peter cause of a low ceiling. But fuck me what an awesome show. They were right in our face and it was the most memorable Type O show I'd ever seen.
Cinderella have blown an opportunity to give some fans a up close and personal show just cause they don't have enough room to swing their guitars around the necks. Shame.

Type O Negative were also a class act that could draw a crowd; Cinderella are washed-up dipshits that barely anyone with common sense would pay to see. I doubt the venue would make a similar concession for them.

that is totally a dickover to the fans. I just saw Warrant, Firehouse, and Trixter at Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Outdoor venue, temporary setup on a racetrack. Guess what, those bands worked over that small ass stage like nobody's business. No complaints, plus meet and greets afterwards. That is the way to work it.

Firehouse, in particular is totally fan-friendly. Fan club members get backstage access everywhere they play. Not saying every band has to do that, but treat your fans right - we're the ones that pay your bills!

Bad move guys. You should be happy that someone is still interested in having you play at their county fair or chili cookoff or whatever lame event is is / was. The crowds at these events are built in already, so the bands aren't even expected to draw. If that were the case, they wouldn't hav e hired Cinderella in the first place.

actually, the played around 2 hours near Boston. I never thought much of them, went because it was at a club close by, cheap, and really enjoyed it. I would see them again. It was more R&R than HairMetal. I was pleasantly surprised...and his voice was decent(if you like it in the first place).
