MEGADETH's DAVE MUSTAINE Schedules San Diego Meet-And-Greet - Aug. 2, 2012
MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine will take part in a meet-and-greet and special autograph signing at Guitar Center in San Diego on August 15 at 7:00 p.m. The event is free to the public.

Purchase any Dean guitar the day of the event and get front-of-the-line access to Dave Mustaine's autograph signing.

For complete details, see the event poster below.

Guitar Center TV has uploaded video footage of MEGADETH guitarist Dave Mustaine demonstrating his Dean Dave Mustaine VMNT signature electric guitar. Check it out below.

MEGADETH's latest album, "TH1RT3EN", sold 42,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 11 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was recorded at Mustaine's Vic's Garage studio in San Marcos, California with producer Johnny K (full name: John Karkazis), who has previously worked with DISTURBED, SEVENDUST, MACHINE HEAD and STAIND, among others. The artwork was once again created by artist John Lorenzi, who worked on the last two MEGADETH studio albums, 2007's "United Abominations" and 2009's "Endgame", as well as the band's 2007 box set, "Warchest".

"TH1RT3EN" marks the recorded return of bassist David Ellefson who was part of the band's classic lineup from 1983 to 2002. In a move that delighted the band's legion of diehards, Ellefson returned to performing live with MEGADETH in early 2010 and has remained a fixture on the stage ever since. This is the first time Ellefson has played on a MEGADETH record since 2002's "Rude Awakening".

Already met him during one of his book signings in 2010. He was nice and I made him laugh. I dont agree with some of his views though, and I think Megadeth's best years are behind them, I wasnt really into the last two albums, or even the last three.

Best Megadeth material is every thing up to Rust in Peace. Countdown and Youth are ok, The System Has Failed is good, everything else is either mediocre or sucks. Th1rt3en sucked goat balls in my opinion, other than like 2 ok songs. The re-worked songs were a joke, they sounded way heavier the way they were before.

I know the fan boys will hate this comment, but whatever. Dave is a nice guy, and I admire what he did for metal and the good Megadeth albums, but they arent as good anymore unfortunately

The World Needs A Hero was a classic. Just thought I'd share.

Mustaine's entire ethos throughtout his professional career is "pay to play" and his despicable new religiousity further reinforces this.

"The event is free to the public."

Can't you read, asswipes? If you buy a guitar that day you get to THE FRONT OF THE LINE, anyone can get an autograph but you have to show up really early for a chance to get your crusty Megadeth underwear signed.

goes to Dave and say something negative like they do here. Really, i'd love to hear someone say that they did that. But no, in front of Dave, they would be silent, could never say that he sucks or is a religious freak.

I'm sure a lot of people from San Diego area, some haters, could go and say whatever they want to Dave, but they'll stay safely at home, typing on their keyboards.

Do you think Dave would sign my Kirk Hammett ESP? I got it to replace my Dave Mustaine Dean, after it got all junky and was giving off too much feedback and static.
