STAIND Frontman Interviewed On Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM (Audio) - July 26, 2012
Meltdown of Detroit, Michigan's WRIF 101.1 FM radio station recently conducted an interview with STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis. You can now listen to the chat using the audio player below.

STAIND plans to go on hiatus after completing the touring cycle for its self-titled seventh album, according to Billboard.com. But Lewis says that the band is not breaking up, telling The Pulse Of Radio that it's just time for a breather. "We've got this next tour and we might do something next year and then, you know, we're going to take a little break for a second," he said. "We're not breaking up. We're not gonna stop making music. We're just going to take a little hiatus that really hasn't ever been taken in our career."

STAIND will co-headline this summer's Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival tour, which begins on August 17 in Bonner Springs, Kansas.

Lewis also plans to spend time promoting the release of his first full-length solo album, "The Road", which comes out on September 11.

The disc follows up his 2011 EP, "Town Line", which reinvented Lewis as a country music performer when not with STAIND.

STAIND had a difficult time making its latest record, with the band in turmoil and the sessions eventually leading to a split with founding drummer Jon Wysocki.

The new album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard album chart and marked the end of the group's deal with Atlantic Records.

Lewis said the band would explore its options during the hiatus, adding that it would take "a ridiculous, ridiculous check for me to be willing to sign a label deal again."

Had to look at this post. I couldn't remember if this was the band that has the fatass, Uncle Fester-looking guy as a singer, but I think it was Biohazard I'm thinking of...

I hope Staind dosent go on to long of a break. I realize they cant work 24-7 and need to take a breather for a little while but, I have only been able to attend one concert and it was just recently in Nashville. I will be absolutely heart broken if they dont come back from their "break" and I never get another chance to see them again!
