KORN Getting Ready To Start Writing New Album - July 18, 2012
KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has revealed to Billboard.com that the band is "getting ready to start writing a new record." According to the singer, the follow-up to 2011's "The Path Of Totality" probably won't embrace the same electronic path that the band's last album did. "Our motto is to keep ever-evolving," Davis says. "I'm sure there'll still be some electronic influence in there, but I don't think it'll be like the last one and go to all those different guys again. We'll switch it up and try to do something new, 'cause that's how we work."

KORN will release "The Path Of Totality Tour - Live At The Hollywood Palladium" on September 4 on both DVD and Blu-ray. The disc captures a sold-out concert on December 6, 2011 during the band's trek in support of its 10th studio album, "The Path Of Totality". In addition to the show, the set features interviews with all four members of the group plus a bonus live CD of the concert.

"The Path Of Totality" arrived last December and featured KORN teaming up with dubstep producers and DJs to add a whole new electronic layer to their sound.

Davis told The Pulse Of Radio that he enjoys being in a group that takes risks. "We're one of those bands that take the chance and we really just want to put out music that we like making," he said. "We don't care if the people hate or if the people love it — we just want people to have open minds. I think it takes balls as a band to do something like that and to throw something out different, 'cause most bands are scared and they end up sounding the same every record."

Among the dubstep artists who contributed to the set were 12th Planet, Kill The Noise, Noisia, Downlink, Excision and Skrillex.

Several dubstep artists have opened for KORN on its recent tours, while singer Jonathan Davis even did some opening sets as DJ J Devil.

Translation- it was a pretty stupid idea to jump on the dubstep bandwagon. We lost a lot of fans with that one.

Gotta love the new age of instant non-information!

***NEWS FLASH***

"{Insert Band Name Here} prepares to discuss scheduling a meeting to consider talking about getting together to practice in preperation for writing riffs that may become songs that will eventually be rehearsed for a future demo that will be listened to in consideration of recording a follow up album sometime in the future."

I must have missed the Blabbermouth article titled 'Korn getting ready to get ready to start writing new album.'
A: This isn't journalism.
B: Korn is just fucking aweful.
C: I will want this time back on my deathbed.

People still listen to this shit? They were interesting the first couple albums, but quickly turned to c-rap. No wonder this country is circling the toilet. Romney , Obama ,American idol, snookie, etc. We got our heads up our assess. Evolve people! For the better not the Korn way.

Korn go death metal....rarrrrr!

In all seriousness though, produce something like your debut, better than Korn III or get off

It always worries me when a band in their 2nd or 3rd decade starts churning out albums as fast as they can. Aren't they afraid of burning themselves out?

His last Ep was awesome. Way more entertaining than recent Korn discs in my opinion.

These guys have been so busy trying to be dubstep, hiphop, or some other bad form of music to realize the plain and simple fact that they suck big time and should just stop making bad music right away!

Please...the market is flooded with it right now.

Thamks in advance.

To the ones who loathe this band, do you still care to be on their threads to say you hate them???? Un-fucking-believable.

Tips and advise for Korn:

*Evolving your sound does not mean you need to completely change your sound every time you write a new album. That isn't evolution, that's revolution.

*Stick to what you're good at - that means Jonathan Davis should stop singing. He has a horrible singing voice. Remember when he used to shout and growl? That is his strength.

*Do whatever you can to get Head back - even if he is a crazy Jesus lover.
