LAMB OF GOD manager
Larry Mazer told
WTVR-TV — the
CBS television affiliate based in Richmond, Virginia — that he is still waiting for an official letter informing him that the Czech prosecutor's complaint to block singer
Randy Blythe's bail has been dismissed and that
Blythe's bail has now been increased. The letter, which must be issued within 48 hours, will state exactly what conditions have been made.
In a closed session, which was originally scheduled for July 19 but took place earlier than planned, a panel of municipal judges reportedly dismissed the Prague State Attorney's Office complaint against
Blythe's release on bail. In addition, the court increased
Blythe's bail from $200,000 — which has already been paid — to $400,000, which is said to be equivalent to twice
Randy's annual income.
Mazer told
WTVR-TV that he believe part of the condition is the increased bail. "We are hopeful that tomorrow morning there will be an official letter," said
Mazer.
The
Prague Monitor previously reported that district court judge
Petr Fassati said that even after the latest ruling, a Prague attorney could still be allowed to again comment on bail.
Blythe was arrested in the Czech Republic on June 27 and is facing manslaughter charges in connection with a 2010 Prague concert at which he allegedly shoved a local fan off the stage. The man, who is said to have stormed the stage three times during the show, reportedly suffered a brain hemorrhage that resulted in his death nearly a month later.
