TOURNIQUET: 'Antiseptic Bloodbath' Studio Footage Posted Online - July 15, 2012
Christian metallers TOURNIQUET will release a new album, "Antiseptic Bloodbath", this summer via Pathogenic Records. The CD will feature guest guitar solos by Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH), Karl Sanders (NILE), Pat Travers, Bruce Franklin (TROUBLE) and Santiago Dobles (AGHORA).

A two-and-a-half-minute video clip featuring footage from the album's April 2012 recording sessions can be seen below. Also available is the CD's cover artwork, which was created by Travis Smith of Seempieces (OPETH, DEVIN TOWNSEND, NEVERMORE, ICED EARTH, DEATH, AMORPHIS).

Commented TOURNIQUET: "The title track, 'Antiseptic Bloodbath', speaks of the way our society prefers to sanitize brutality. We can have our tidy Christian faith, or continue with no faith at all, as long as we don't consider the painful bloody price that was paid for us.

"We use animals for our food, profit, and amusement, but would rather not know about the needless, often systematic suffering that is inflicted on them by a callous and greedy humanity. 'Don't upset my comfort zone — brutal truth, leave me alone.' The great news is that we have the ability to choose. This album encourages us to make good and humane choices in our daily lives that reflect these images."

TOURNIQUET's last studio release, 2003's "Where Moth and Rust Destroy" (Metal Blade), featured special guest appearances by guitarists Marty Friedman (ex-MEGADETH) and Bruce Franklin (TROUBLE).

I like these guys, really talented musicians. Can't wait for this, it's been too long since we've heard something new from these guys. I will definatly be buying the CD. Hopefully be following up with a tour soon also.

I loved this band for like 20 plus years. Only thing going against them was poor record company support, and no media support. And they really need a permanent bassist. Posing as a threesome with no bassist for over 10 years is kind of lame. Please hire a permanent guys!

Can't wait to hear the new album!

they have had a weird career. Love stop the bleeding, psycho surgery and everything else was crap up until microscopic view and the one after. The singer on the last two gets on my nerves though. Not into their Christian message either but hey, they're a great band.

Let me start of by saying that Tourniquet was my ABSOLUTE favorite band up until "Vanishing Lessons." Even though "Vanishing Lessons" had some great moments, it was a departure for Tourniquet, a departure that would see Tourniquet totally shed their trademark sound on "Crawl To China." Tourniquet would later recapture their heaviness, but to me it was still too different than what was found on their first three releases. I have to agree with a previous post that Luc Easter's vocals do get monotonous and the lack of complete line up does hinder this band. Even though I am happy that Ted is continuing on and that Tourniquet have landed a great producer, its just hard to get overly excited about the new album. Now bring back Guy and Gary and we have a totally different scenario. Personally likings aside, I still wish Tourniquet the BEST OF LUCK.

As one of the Kickstarter contributors, I got the album a couple days ago. It's the best thing they've done with Luke Easter on vocals. Neil Kernon gave them a real good sound as a producer, I love the tone they got for the rhythm guitars this time. Definitely check this out if you've liked any of their previous works. This one combines elements of a lot of their other albums, and the array of guest soloists really adds to things.

I also got the album as a contributor to the Kickstarter campaign. Feels great to know that I contributed in my own small way to this album getting released. And it is fantastic. Absolutely shredding solos, Ted's drumming is as awesome as ever and I agree its the best thing they've done with Ester.

I just hope the vocals aren't in that hoarse tone, but more in Easter's smooth tone. Here's hpoing.

And they Have to become a real band with a bassist. Not a hired live bassist. They need someone like victor back in the band. A cool personality and a solid smoking bassist who fills them out.

I do not recommend this band at all, the only good albums were stop the bleeding, psychosurgery and pathogenic, buy those...... the rest are not good............
