$50M Lawsuit Against JOURNEY And NEAL SCHON Dismissed - July 10, 2012
On July 9, the Honorable Dennis Hupp, Circuit Court Judge for Warren County, Virginia, dismissed with prejudice Tareq Salahi's $50 million dollar lawsuit against the rock band JOURNEY and lead guitarist Neal Schon.

After having his initial complaint dismissed on April 13 for failure to state a claim, Salahi hired a new attorney and attempted to repackage what has been described by Schon's publicist as a "legally and factually deficient complaint." However, after a two-hour hearing, Salahi's amended complaint was, yet again, dismissed — this time with prejudice.

Spearheading the successful legal efforts of Schon and JOURNEY were Bruce Blanchard, Esq. and Stephen Cobb, Esq., shareholders in the litigation group at the Virginia law firm of Odin, Feldman, & Pittleman P.C.

Upon the dismissal of the amended complaint with prejudice, Blanchard remarked, "As we have said all along, this case did not have a basis in law or in fact and was not worthy of the Court's time." Cobb added, '[This] is more than a win for our clients, it is a victory for common sense."

Schon is currently prepping for the July 11-12 video shoot for the title track from his new solo album, "The Calling", which is due to be released later this month.

Neal Schon took up with that Tareq guy's wife, who was (or is) on one of the hundred 'Real Housewives Of...' shows. Supposedly, Neal sent Tareq pics of his naked schlong to Tareq as an F.U. for Tareq trying to stop Neal and Michelle Salahi from hooking up. It's a good thing that VA court threw the case out. It was pretty frivolous, as a lot of court cases are nowadays.

The Salahis were reality show 'stars' (I use that term very loosely) who made national news in 2009 for crashing a White House party, exposing the lousy security there.

The wife later disappeared for several days (which also made the news), until she finally came forward to let the media know she was safe and sound with the guitar player from Journey.

So her husband tried to file a lawsuit that essentially alleged Schon was responsible for their lousy marriage.

Schon looks like a dick (he was supposedly friends with both Mr. and Mr. Salahi) for banging the wife of his 'friend', but the lawsuit was ridicuous, too.

What was the suit about? Apparently the judge didn't know either, hence the dismissal.

1 - Nobody else seems to know anything about this case.

2 - People on Blabbermouth always bash FOX News

3 - I recalled the details of the case just fine, from watching FOX News

4 - Kids on Blabbermouth need to stop jerking off to their Manowar album covers and start watching FOX News

Faux news. I particularly liked the article that said Fox News watchers were the most un-informed people who watch the news. Funny stuff. The lawsuit was a joke but Schon is kind of a douche bag.

This why nobody knows about this lame story and case, because NO ONE watches fox news. Only fox news would report on this lame ass case.

Ted Nugent, no metal-head should be watching Fox News.

That baing said, I know all about this case because TMZ reported on it. At least I am a loser because I check out TMZ, not Fox News.

Anyway...Moral of the story: If your wife leaves you for a rock star you can't sue anyone over it.

...Journey or not, this motherfucker can play.! I still laugh at the sight of Phil Anselmo saying the same thing at some festival a couple years ago. Check out the old Santana videos, thats him with the huge afro. Better yet , check him out at Claptons Crossroads fest, playing VooDoo Child and killing it. Monster tone!
....and apparently he's got a pretty good sense of humor, too.

Was that really a plug for Fox News? Or were you joking?

If Fox spent more than ten seconds on this story, it's a reason to apologize. If I want the latest scoop on reality show stars and aging rockers, I'll watch TMZ. If I want to know what's really going on in the world, the three "news" networks (right-wing propaganda, left-wing propaganda, and random incompetence) are the last place I would turn.

Then you're not very smart.

FOX covered the story because it is *very* newsworthy that two random realty show clowns were able to waltz right into the White House and mingle with the president before anybody realized what happened.

For the record - I think Obama is a piece of shit. That said, even I don't like the idea of White House security being so lax that the Obama family and any other invited guests could have their security so easily jeopardized by the failures of a supposedly high level team of armed security guards who all managed to miss the knucklehead party crashers. Had they been spies or terrorists and our president or any other elected official put in harm's way, that would have been a huge story.

So for not grasping all of that, you're a fucking idiot.
