AEROSMITH: 'Legendary Child' Video Released - July 10, 2012
The official video for AEROSMITH's new single, "Legendary Child", can be seen below. The clip was filmed with director Casey Patrick Tebo, who also is helming a new concert film titled "Aerosmith: Rock For The Rising Sun". According to Tebo's official web site, the movie, which will focus on AEROSMITH's relationship with the group's Japanese fans, will be released later this year or in 2013.

"Legendary Child" recently landed on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart at No. 32 and the Hard Rock Digital Songs chart at No. 2. On the former chart, the song was the group's first entry since 2006, when "Devil's Got a New Disguise" reached No. 15.

"Legendary Child" will appear on AEROSMITH's 15th studio album, titled "Music From Another Dimension", which will arrive on November 6 via Columbia Records. The track was also supposed to be included in the upcoming summer film "G.I. Joe: Retaliation", but that movie was abruptly bumped from its June 29 release date to March 2013.

AEROSMITH premiered "Legendary Child"with a live performance during the season finale of "American Idol". It is a reworked version of a song originally written in 1991 during the sessions for the "Get A Grip" album.

"Music From Another Dimension" track listing:

01. What Could Have Been Love
02. Beautiful
03. Street Jesus
04. Legendary Child
05. Oh Yeah
06. We All Fall Down
07. Another Last Goodbye
08. Out Go the Lights
09. Love Three Times a Day (Hello Goodbye)
10. Closer
11. Shakey Ground
12. Lover A Lot
13. Freedom Fighter
14. Up On The Mountain

AEROSMITH began work on its first all-new album since 2001 last year, with the rest of the band working on music while singer Steven Tyler made his "American Idol" debut.

"Music From Another Dimension" is being helmed by producer Jack Douglas, who previously worked with AEROSMITH on classic early albums like "Toys In The Attic" and "Rocks" as well as on 2004's "Honkin' On Bobo".

"This record is different from the recent past, say the last 20 years, where everybody is getting in the studio and throwing down their songs," guitarist Joe Perry recently told Billboard.com. "This record is a lot more band-written stuff than there has been in the recent past."

that's rippin'. I'd say for a band of their generation or older, they sound the best, they've maintained their chops and energy.

However, they've spent 20 years tearing down their legacy. SOS might have been one of the only killers they played last time I saw them at Fenway Park. It was a show dominated by the pop era Aerosmith, I was afraid they'd bring Britney out on stage. If they could have only steered clear of Diane Warren and Desmond Child, we'd have more rockin' ASmith.

This new tune is Eat the Rich Mach II, with a watered down Wanton Song riff. Where's the bite in Joe's guitar sound? I'm expecting Tyler to sing "attitude may taste like shit but it goes real good with wine". I may sound negative to today's ASmith fans, but this isn't the ASmith I loved. I knew better than to expect them to be edgy again, because Jack Douglas was on board.

while the song is good and rocks I am surprised with all the talk about this being a return to old school Aerosmith they would put a rejected song from get a grip on it let alone be the first sigle. still looking forward to the new album though.

I am an Aerosmith fan from WAY back and this song is puke. Who green lights these video ideas ? They have been a shit band for longer than they were legends. I won't be buying this until it shows up in the bargain bins.

It's not "Back In The Saddle" but it seems like it's going in the right direction. But what's the right direction. The right direction for ME?!?! It shouldn't matter what I think. Aerosmith can make whatever music they want to make. I think they're too mainstream now to recover the old days. Metallica as well. All they can do is make the music they want to make and whatever will be will be...

I think the 1st. singles released by The Cult,Sondgarden,L.A. Guns,Kiss and Van Halen, and Rush are better than this tune. It just sounds like a left over. Really hoping the album is better.

I dig this song the more I hear it. Also, Joey Kramer is a very underrated drummer.

I'm really optimistic about this album and can't wait to hear it, but let's be honest about something:

This is a throw-away track from an album recorded 20 years ago and it ain't that good.

I trust the rest of the material is better.
