LAMB OF GOD Frontman Wants To Meet Alleged Victim's Family Upon Release - July 5, 2012
An attorney for LAMB OF GOD frontman Randy Blythe, who was arrested in the Czech Republic in connection with the death of a fan two years ago, tells Blesk.cz that the singer is very sorry and he wants to meet the fan's family upon his release, which is expected early next week.

Blythe, 41, is accused of causing the fatal injury that occurred at LAMB OF GOD's May 24, 2010 show in Prague. The singer allegedly either pushed or struck a 19-year-old fan named Daniel N. — a guitarist in a local metal band — and that person died almost a month later of bleeding in the brain.

Randy has been charged with causing "bodily harm of the fourth degree, resulting in the death of a fan" and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

Blythe remains in detention at Pankrác Prison in Prague even after the band's manager posted 4 million Czech Koruna bail (approximately $200,000) on Tuesday. But the bail system in the Czech Republic is not as rapid as in the U.S.

Although bail has been posted, the decision to release the singer is still subject to appeal and so it will take some time for the state prosecutor's office to give approval.

Despite previous reports that Blythe was considered a flight risk, the musician will be allowed to leave the Czech Republic, said his defense lawyer Martin Radvan.

LAMB OF GOD manager Larry Mazer told The Prague Post said that he and Randy's bandmates were shocked to learn of the incident.

According to Mazer, neither he nor the band heard about the case until they arrived in Prague last week for a June 28 performance in the city.

"We are stunned," he said. "We flew in from Norway and were looking forward to putting on a great show. We would never have come out here if we knew this was going to happen."

Mazer added that he couldn't understand why he hadn't been contacted earlier with information related to the case.

"I would raise blood and hell trying to find the person who killed my son. The whole thing is a crock of shit," he said.

Another one of Blythe's Czech attorneys, Tomáš Morysek, told Blesk.cz that his client would have immediately cooperated with the police had he learned of the incident earlier.

What is it exactly that you find so humorous about the situation Randy Blythe is in?

"Mr. Blythe?"

"Yes?" *SLAP!*

"... I just found out... that a kid got killed here two years ago, and you knew it. You knew there was a bouncer up there. You knew it was dangerous. But you let people go stage diving anyway. You knew all those things. But still my boy is dead now. And there's nothing you can do about it. My boy is dead. I wanted you to know that."

"I'm sorry, Randy. She's wrong."

"Klep durka durka." (Mongolian translation of "no she's not").

This world is fucked up.

Someone waits behind bars even though he posted 200,000 $

And Geoff Tate, pulls knives on drummers and releases "Dedicated To Chaos" and he is still running the streets

It's a nice gesture, although he is nothing to be sorry about, cause he is innocent. They can't prove that the injury that cause his death was caused on that ocasion and by randy.

Because it's a fucking ambush/shakedown. The czechy cheese patrol knew damn well if they contacted anyone beforehand, the band would just NOT play there again, and they would miss their opportunity to fleece the "Rich American Rocker" for some shit that I'd bet wasn't even his fault.

this stinks to high heaven, take note everyone, this is how they do business over there. Kangaroo Court at its finest.

Hey bra. When you're referring to bail money you gotta pronounce it bra, not bro, bra. And he (theoretically) gets the money back once found innoncent so I wouldn't worry too much about his cash flow problems bra.

Go with christ bra.

So he's saying they wouldn't have shown up if they knew he would face manslaughter charges? interesting.

Why is that interesting? If there were trumped up manslaughter charges against me in a country I didn't give a fuck about except once every couple years on world tours, I wouldn't go back there either.

It's interesting because of what he said, which is if they knew this was going to happen then they wouldn't have went. how are you not getting this? what is technically meant by saying that is ''if we knew randy was going to get locked up for ''killing'' a kid then we would have avoided that place and made sure they would never get to question him''

im not saying Randy is guilty, far from it but i don't understand why others aren't taking what i took from it which is the CLEAR words of ''We would never have come out here if we knew this was going to happen." I dont actually know why i bothered trying to explain it, if you cant read his quote for what it is then i give up

Yep, he sure is. Anyone in agreement with thinking that Randy is guilty of killing this kid is ridiculously STUPID.

2nd of all, I hope ALL bands, including my favorite, the mighty Metallica abandons the Czech Republic for good after this fiasco. Why would band want to go back there would be beyond me? Next thing you know, they could start arresting band members and charging them with Public Intox from their show 6 years ago to get some more loot for their government. "No Jaymz, you are detained until we receive 1 million dollars because you were drunk 8 years ago in the streets of the Czech Republic." It would seriously serve the Czech Republic right by having all metal bands abandon playing there and NEVER coming back. Noone to blame but themselves. And, to the metal fans in the Czech Republic who has supported this, guess what? No more metal shows for you!

The whole situation is RIDICULOUS.

It's clear that they arrested him for offences against true metal; this "manslaughter" charge is just a sham. Good going Czech Rep. Put those screamo emo whiners where they can enjoy their favourite past-time - slitting their wrists, being alone, crying and having things shoved up their anus.

@ Americans calling the Czech Rep "third world"...

Obviously such high-class, first-world, safe, clean, free cities as Detroit, New Orleans and New York are much nicer than Prague.

Typical false metal fans - dumb, overweight hicks that like to "mosh" like retards to their inbred poser music!

That's a bold move and in my mind says he is sorry for what happened and willing to take some blame . I cant imagine what he would be able to tell family though to make it any better maybe give them some closure but he will live with this albatross around his neck forever.
The truth is I have yet to see video that shows Randy clearly had a part in killing the boy.
Clearly in the videos bouncing around, the huge bouncer had more to do with the kids death than Randy.. why no word on him?
Ah ha I know he must not a perceived as having a ton of money therefore they go for the American.
I hope known of you BM internet judges ever have a family member that gets thrown in jail on trumped on charges or circumstances.
You couldn't because you would have known how much stress and pain its puts on the family. Been there with a close friend who was put away for 10 years on nefarious federal drug charge. Let me tell you it fucking sucks all the way around to be in the pen.
Good Luck Randy

First you say he will have to live with the albatross around his neck forever and then you admit it appears he had little or nothing to do with it. Why the fuck should he feel guilty the rest of his life? He probably feels bad that the kid died at one of his shows and wants to tell them he's sorry it happened. But there is no "albatross" involved!

Unfortunately Randy now will always be know known as guy who killed kid at his show no matter actually what happened.

My nephew's second best friend was arrested by TSA without a reason by some jackass officer - I cannot SCREAM IT LOUD ENOUGH!!!! EVERYBODY avoid that cheap shithole, especially everybody who is able to strum more than a 2 string powerchord, not to mention foreign gas suppliers. Let's invest in Chinese Yen, burn their beloved flag, hang an arbitrary US citizen for that offense agains my nephew's best friend, and the best simply would be to nuke all of that toilet they call nation.

In reality, I only know that country from what my biased TV news tells me to make me feel proud as a brave Greenland citizen who fends off the Czecheslovakian (kevorkian?) communist ghosts, but I am sure those Americans are all like Sam Bucktooth from Bumfuck, Wisconsin, and I heard they fuck goats if they can't find a French male to mate.
GREENLAND! GREENLAND! GREENLAND! GREENLAND!!
