STAIND Singer Pushes Back Release Of First Full-Length Solo Album - July 2, 2012
According to The Pulse Of Radio, STAIND frontman Aaron Lewis has pushed back the release date for his first full-length solo album, "The Road", to September 11. The disc was originally supposed to arrive last Tuesday (June 26). No explanation has been given for the delay. "The Road" follows up Lewis' 2011 debut solo EP, "Town Line", which entered the Billboard Country Albums chart at No. 1 and featured the hit single "Country Boy". The new album, produced by Nashville hitmaker James Stroud, is likely to follow in the same musical vein as the EP.

The first official single and video from "The Road", titled "Endless Summer", has been out since late April.

Lewis wrote nine of the 10 songs on the CD, with the exception of "Grandaddy's Gun". That was composed by Nashville songwriters Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins and Bobby Pinson, marking the first time Lewis has ever recorded another artist's music for an album.

Lewis is also embarking on a string of summer solo dates that began over the weekend in Texas and will take him into mid-August, when he'll reconvene with STAIND for the Rockstar Energy Uproar Festival tour, alongside GODSMACK, SHINEDOWN, PAPA ROACH, ADELITAS WAY, REDLIGHT KING and others.

"The Road" track listing:

01. 75
02. The Road
03. Endless Summer
04. Red, White & Blue
05. Lessons Learned
06. Forever
07. Grandaddy's Gun
08. State Lines
09. Anywhere But Here

Did the test-marketing come back negative, saying poorly written, right-wing horseshit isn't selling as well as it usedtacould?

Can't wait for the album and I'm glad I read it here.

Fuck you all. Go listen to Slayer and Dave Mundane.

Some people actually listen to and enjoy more than one type of music if you can believe it.

@JJJB: I listen to Fleet Foxes, First Aid Kit, Agnes Obel, Jackson C Frank, John Coltrane, Townes Van Zandt, Cash, Zappa, and many more. Some people enjoy other types of music that is actually good.

This music is just generic crap, plain and simple.

Aaron is a great songwriter.......pure and simple.

He always was.

I'm glad you have a variety though.

I'm not a fan of country, but if Aaron making country albums on his own means Staind puts out more albums like the self-titled one and less albums like The Illusion Of Progress, then I'm all for it.

The negative comments do not & will not shred him. I love his music country, rock, whatever he may sing it goes to show how talented he is! I got to meet him in Odessa Tx & his show was amazing. He is a very sweet guy & as normal as any one of you. What I can't understand is how you can come at him & you (posting negative crap) can judge him & what he does well. Keep doing what you do Aaron! We true fans will always stick by your side!
P.S. it was my dream to meet you! Thank you for meeting me & my hubby that night! If it weren't for Lisa my dream would have never came true. Thank You!
