ENCHANT Signs With INSIDEOUT MUSIC - June 1, 2012
ENCHANT, the long-running San Francisco Bay Area long progressive rock band, has inked a new longterm worldwide deal with its perennial label partner, InsideOut Music. The group is currently writing and demoing material for a new album, tentatively due in early 2013.

Originally founded in 1989 and with seven studio albums under their belts, ENCHANT's last official release was the "Live At Last" 2CD/2DVD set, which came out in 2004.

"It's been way too long!" says Douglas A. Ott, main songwriter and guitarist of ENCHANT. "We had to take time off from ENCHANT because a lot was going on in all of our lives. Divorces, marriages, kids, separations... finally the band is stable again and ready to get going on the new album!"

Ott adds, "Everyone is really excited and looking forward to the process again. I'm currently doing preproduction and putting together demos of the new material and very shortly I'll start recording the real tracks. We're taking our time and really focusing on the writing and arranging of this new material."

Thomas Waber, founder and label manager of InsideOut Music, comments on the return of ENCHANT: "InsideOut Music as a label has a long history with ENCHANT and I am very happy that they are making a new album right now. Hopefully we can add many more fond memories to the relationship! It's great to have them back!"

ENCHANT vocalist Ted Leonard (SPOCK'S BEARD, THOUGHT CHAMBER) recently made an appearance on on AFFECTOR's debut album, "Harmagedon", out now on InsideOut Music.

ENCHANT 2012 lineup:

Ted Leonard - Lead Vocals
Douglas Ott - Guitars And Backing Vocals
Ed Platt - Bass Guitar And Bass Pedals
Bill Jenkins - Keyboards
Sean Flanegan - Drums

These guys are one of my favorite bands. They actually were with Magna Carta at 1st, and I guess they saw the writing on the wall and then jumped to IO in the late 90's. Maybe their deal ended and they just re-signed? B/c everything starting with Time Lost has been on IO.

But still, a lot of us have been worried that Enchant was done, but they've kept us updated. I wonder if Ted will do double-duty and they'll tour with Spock's Beard...?

Bring back Paul Craddick though. An amazing and underrated drummer.

This is good news, I thought Enchant was history after Ted joined Spock's Beard!

Enchant has always be one of my favorite prog rock bands. Their first album Blueprint of the World is a desert island disc for me. Ted should have time for all the bands he's in be it Enchant, Spocks Beard, Thought Chamber or Affector. None of these bands work fulltime, which is a shame.

I remember a friend of mine wrote me a cassette with new prog bands, back in 1995 and ENCHANT's song was "The thirst".

The next day i bought every cd they released.
There was only one store with specific metal background that had them. And there were the only copies!!!

So, since then they're in my top 5 groups.

This is music from the heart.Music played with emotion and make your adrenaline pump.

This is oldschool prog writing, based on guitar riffs mostly.
Every song has it's own personality and you can feel it's honest and from the heart.

ENCHANT is AUTHENTIC and very much underrated, if you see some of the groups nowadays making all that money out of monkey business.

Greetings from GREECE.
