QUEENSRŸCHE, CINDERELLA, RATT Confirmed For M3 ROCK FESTIVAL - Jan. 31, 2012
The heavy metal time machine will turn back to the 1980s and '90s when QUEENSRŸCHE, CINDERELLA, RATT, KIX, WARRANT and NIGHT RANGER are among the 19 bands to take over the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, Maryland, playing full sets of their glam rock and heavy metal hits. For the first time, M3 fans won't have to choose between bands with overlapping set times, since each band will play one at a time. Also, the festival will take place on two separate stages, each simulcasting the other, giving fans the option to stay in one seat and watch all the bands as they appear on both stages, or fans can move from stage to stage without missing a note.

In its fourth year, I.M.P. Presents M3 Rock Festival starts with the official M3 Kix-Off Party on Friday, May 11 at 7 p.m. The full-blown 2012 M3 Rock Festival begins Saturday, May 12 at 11 a.m.

Friday, May 11:

NIGHT RANGER
KIX
ENUFF Z'NUFF
IN THE PINK
LET THERE BE ROCK

Saturday, May 12:

QUEENSRŸCHE
CINDERELLA
RATT
SKID ROW
WARRANT
QUIET RIOT
DOKKEN
STRYPER
LOUDNESS
LYNCH MOB
XYZ
BANG TANGO
DRUM WARS
STREET LIGHT CIRCUS

Each year VIP and Pavilion seats sell out in minutes. VIP and discounted two-day packages will go on sale Friday, Februry 3 at 10 a.m. EST through Ticketfly. If there are any tickets remaining as of February 24, they will go on sale as single-day tickets at 10 a.m. EST. Tickets can also be purchased at the Merriweather and 9:30 club box offices.

I saw Loudness open for Ace Frehley in the 80's and they were good, but kind of generic.

Lynch Mob will blow Dokken away, because Don Dokken sounds like crap now.

The day has come where the most legit band here is not queensryche, but Ratt.

It has always irritated me that Queensryche gets lumped in with the hair rock clowns. I suppose they earned it with that photo on "Rage For Order".

Yeah, they are more pop than rock. Not even a hair rock band anymore.

Quiet Riot? Who will be the singer? I thought they fired Mark Huff or whatever his name is.

Does it even matter? They could throw a fan out there and it wouldn't matter. It's cool to see these bands go on but changing singers multiple times is a bit too much. Changing a guitarist or bassist is easier to hide but the singer is the signature component of the music.

Looks like Cinderella may be the only band with its original lineup.

I always thought Cinderella was unfairly lumped into the glam / hair metal scene. That is one kick ass rock and roll band with a great deal of substance and legitimacy that just happen to appear around that time.

People love to say 'Unfairly lumped in with the hair bands'. I have read that about every OTHER 80's hair band aside from Poison and Warrant. You'd think they were the only two hair bands!

They were ALL hair bands - Whitesnake, Ratt, Motley, Cinderella, Skid Row, Warrant, Dokken, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, White Lion, Tesla, and yes...Even Queensryche.

Is each band guaranteed to have at least one original member?
