ERIC CARR's 'Crazy Nights' KISS Drum Kit For Sale - Nov. 26, 2010
According to a posting on the KISS fan site KissAsylum.com, late KISS drummer Eric Carr's chrome Chikara drum set is available for purchase at KissMuseum.net. The kit was used primarily during KISS' 1988 "Crazy Nights" tour and was played at the majority of the shows. KissMuseum.net has 18 pieces of the drum set for sale, if you would like to have a chance to own a piece of KISStory.

Eric Carr (real name Paul Charles Caravello) was selected as the new KISS drummer after Peter Criss left the band in 1980. He remained a band member until he became ill with heart cancer and died on November 24, 1991.

I had the pleasure to Carr play with Kiss during the Hot in the Shade tour. It blew my mid how great of a drummer he was and how entertaining he made everything he did. There was so much energy there, and so much attitude. I'm not a drummer, but he left one hell of an impression on me. I've often thought about him over the years when I have been at various concerts. I truly, truly miss him. I think he could have shown us a lot more than he did with Kiss (not to say he didn't show some great stuff). I think he had way more potential than what we saw him do with Kiss. He was very capable. Seeing him play live was a real eye opener to me anyway, he was one of the first drummers I really started paying attention to. He was just an animal live. All over those drums. Arms over his head, the whole deal. A lot of style and showmanship mixed in with a lot of skill to back it up.

Eric Carr, definitely missed, but never forgotten...

Totally agree.I remember the first time I viewed a few clips from the '84 Animalize tour on YouTube years back. The man was a bloody monster on 'Under The Gun'.

I'm not a drummer either but I can see from the videos I have watched that he was awesome. Sadly I never got to see him live in person :-(

Apparently he was going to do a solo album to go with the other Kiss ones. They had the same artist do a picture of him. Would loved to have heard that.

R.I.P Eric

Still have perhaps the first Japan print cd ever got. Asked an Asian student at local college & told me Chikara means Power! Eric Carr was Power behind the kit! I'm not a drummer either, but like the play style of drummers with large drum kits. No wonder my fav Kiss albums are their 80s, 'cos Eric Carr ruled!

Next January, Guitar Center has their annual Drum Off Finals here in Los Angeles. Not only do they have the last 5 contestants, they also have famous drummers do showcase sets, while otjers get Lifetime Achievement Awards. The Tommy Lee production last year, which included the USC Marching Band was just insane! If you're into drummers, I would recommend this show, tix are cheap, at ticketweb.com, but is small venue, always sells out, not to mention, friends & relatives of contestants fly here to support them. I'm sure Eric would be doing cool stuff like this, maybe someday he gets an award, he made his mark in a short time...

best KISS drummer of all. Certainly the most METAL of all, and sadly, as long as they keep Singer, the best they'll ever have known. Those 80's albums did alot more than just keep KISS around after Pete's departure, they excelled and grew into a true METAL ACT, and that has alot to do with Mr. Carr, for sure.

Put it this way, all you 250,000 people, like me, who got their Lp. 1st week in' 09 Fall, he makes Singer look like a young child, behind the kit. CREATURES is my fav. KISS Lp. of all, thanx, ERIC. and course, R.I.P. dude.

He had brain cancer. There is no such thing as heart cancer as far as I know. If there is they have got to be insanely rare in adults.

Also, Neil Peart's red HYF drum kit has been resold several times and only fetches like 25K. I don't see this doing all that much better. 100K is about all someone would pay for it unless some rock star with big money has to have it. (Rush pun intended)
