TRACII GUNS' LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN: More Dates Announced - May 5, 2009
Guitarist Tracii Guns from legendary rock band L.A. GUNS will hit the road in May for his first solo tour under the banner LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN, playing songs from all of his past projects. Fans will be treated to the sounds of L.A. GUNS, music from the hard rock band BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION and rare material from supergroups CONTRABAND and KILLING MACHINE.

Tracii is only doing select dates before heading out on a summer tour with L.A GUNS.

The dates are as follows:

May 30 - Tucson, AZ Omally's

LEAGUE OF GENTLEMEN is:

Tracii Guns - Guitar
Scott Harris - Vocals
Chad Stewart - Drums
Tim Hogan - Bass

L.A. GUNS has recently been touring in two competing lineups: one fronted by Tracii Guns, and another led by his Eighties bandmates, singer Phil Lewis and drummer Steve Riley. "Tracii's L.A. GUNS is bogus," Riley recently told Rolling Stone magazine. "People want to hear the songs sung by the original lead singer." Guns countered, "Those guys are a couple of dirty motherfuckers. I hired them for my band — if you get hired as a manager at McDonald's, you don't take over the McDonald's."

Guns told Rolling Stone that he was going to court, and he hoped to get the name back. "I just want to put it to bed and start a new band," he said. "This has proved beyond 'Spinal Tap' ridiculous. The next chapter would be us trying to book a convenience store and battling over the $300 they'd pay us."

I love Tracii but man come on. Your last name is Guns and you can't get the rights to a band called LA Guns??? WTF?? You were in Brides of Destruction but as soon as Nikki Sixx was gone there went the song writing. Dude kiss and make up with Phil or you will be arguing over $300 after playing a convenience store.

The name League of Gentlemen is already taken - it was a project of Robert Fripp's (King Crimson).

Sounds like a gay porno.

This is NOT Tracii's first solo tour - that thing he did with Paul Black and that kid on bass started out as Tracii Guns, but when they couldn't sell any tickets it became L.A. Guns. Look it up!

Kind of appropriate he's playing the 'Dead Horse'.

Wish these cats would grow up and go out on the road together - Tracii, Phil, Steve...anyone got Mick Cripps' phone number?

As much as I loved Guns' guitar-playing when he was a young and hungry sleaze-hound, he just isn't up to par with i.e Kerri Kelly these days. The other thing is, even though he's got the last name to claim, Phil Lewis was always the mastermind behind the sound, lyrics and music in L.A. Guns. Just listen to anything Phil has ever done - it be Tormé, Girl, Filthy Lucre or post Tracii LA Guns - it all has the distinctive feel and motion of L.A. Guns as we know and love it.

I do understand the bitterness Traci must be feeling, but he just has to realize, and admit, that L.A Guns IS Phil Lewis - without him...it's all kinda bogus and forloren.

I saw the Traci Guns Version of the band last summer with Paul Black. I was embarrassed for the band they were simply terrible. Even Traci was going thru the motions. Last night I saw the Phil Lewis version of the band. They were stellar. They looked like L.A. Guns, they sounded like L.A. Guns unlike the Traci Version. I don't care about their differences thats their business for me its about the product and Phil has a way better product.

All That said I haven't seen Traci's version with Marty Casey, Marty is a talent but to me he isn't L.A. Guns nothing against him.

My final point is if you listen to the last L.A. Guns album with Phil minus Traci Add Stacy "Tales From The Sunset Strip" its incredible and as good as anything any version of the band has done. Not to mention it was produced by Andy Johns. Final product people who cares about the bickering the proof is in the final product.
